Are you questioning the accuracy and reliability of the bible?
He always seems to--yes.

Are you questioning the accuracy and reliability of the bible?
I had a long response typed up, but it's way off-topic, so I'll save it for another thread some time.
I don't disagree however.
Excuse you.... I know what incarnate means... you are suggesting that because Christ was incarnate he could then be killed... which would suggest that he is not quite completely God, since God cannot be killed....See the bold above? Jesus was the God-man, God in man--that's what the word "incarnate" means.
Some pastors are doing an awfully lousy job of training the members.

As for your snide remark.... thank you for sharing it.... you might have been trained by a pastor and if you were fine, seems like you have their double talk mastered quite well....
I'd stick with the Bible. When people question the accuracy of the bible (citing science or history), it opens up the door to picking and choosing which PARTS of it are accurate and which parts are not.
If there's no written history that coincides with scripture, does that automatically make it incorrect or does it make it correct?
If there's no science to coincide with scripture, or there's science that seems to disprove something in scripture, who do we believe?
I prefer childlike (not childish) faith.
Aren't you glad He gave us the Bible to guide us along with the Spirit? My trust and confidence are in the Creator of the universe. That's good enough for me.
Whatever makes you sleep at night, my brother.I'd stick with the Bible.
no there is some southern baptist seeping in to some adventists... you know the part where it is believed and taught that the bible is the infallible, inerrant, word of God.... so tread lightly lest you find yourself burned at the stake....It appears we are back to the problem of individuals assuming that inaccurate means untrustworthy or wrong. It does not. When I say "He's as old as dirt, that's inaccurate." I hope no one who hears me say that assumes I can no longer be trusted.
I am happy he gave the Spirit.....Aren't you glad He gave us the Bible to guide us along with the Spirit?
I actually heard one of the speakers at the last GC say that the Bible was inerrant. Since then I have not had the chance to ask him about it personally.no there is some southern baptist seeping in to some adventists... you know the part where it is believed and taught that the bible is the infallible, inerrant, word of God.... so tread lightly lest you find yourself burned at the stake....
His will as it pertains to salvation..... however no need to argue, you will do what is best for you, and as long as it works for you, its all good...Holy Scriptures:
The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration through holy men of God who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In this Word, God has committed to man the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the authoritative revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God's acts in history. (2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17; Ps. 119:105; Prov. 30:5, 6; Isa. 8:20; John 17:17; 1 Thess. 2:13; Heb. 4:12.)
I became an Adventist before they adopted those.Holy Scriptures:

Why would you pretend that you really believe that it is. That is a convenient claim that some make but it never survives scrutiny. Is there any evidence that it isn't?
We have always believed that the Scripture is the infallible Word of God.I became an Adventist before they adopted those.
