If you really wanna get technical about this, nobody leads anybody else to Christ. No one can come to Christ unless the Father draws them. I always get very uncomfortable when I read statements by people who say I've led "X" amount of people to Christ or I've saved "X" amount of people. I always have to remind them, no you didn't, God did.

Glad to hear it. But which scripture passage are you referring to? Acts 2:21? Obviously, you're an Osteen fan and nothing you hear about him is going to change your mind. So what would be the point in discussing this further?

That's "whosoever believes" not "whosoever leads." We may carry the message, but the Holy Spirit does the work. I've not manually inserted Him into anyone yet.

One last thingaul wrote this verse of people speaking the true gospel message out of envy, spite toward him, or for profit. What Osteen preaches is not the true gospel message but the false gospel of prosperity, inner change through self, and the Norman Vincent Peale message of being a "little god" within ourselves. It's heresy and is to be condemned.

My letter was never answered, and given what I have observed since, I can only conclude that a lack of an enclosed donation means he or his office help were not interested.

Like I said in the beginning of this thread I like Olsteen only because my husband watches him, I personally could not get enough spiritual food out of that ministry and would starve to death. I thank God for preachers like Charles Stanley and Fred K C Price who are well rounded and try to the best of the anointing within them to give the whole gospel in the Word of God!

Actually i'm not a fan of Osteen(God is my witness).to me his message is too watered down to enjoy.and i'm not of the school of thought that everything is smooth sailing if only you have Faith.God disciplines those He loves(swear i read that somewhere before...lol).Bad things do in fact happen to good people.and i dont believe that God wants all christians to walk in prosperity
I'm a fan of God,Jesus,Christians and then People.talking in here(essentially behind ones back)is kinda scuzz y.Joel has to face God like the rest of on that fateful day.I'm not gonna say hes preaching a different Gospel.
I pray tons of peeps hear him speak and they dig a bit deeper and find the Lord

Actually round these parts,(U of Miami).we kinda dont like the Fightin' Irish a whole lot either.a Rivalry was born and we used to whoop up on them back in the Day so Lou Holtz started lobbying the NCAA to remove us from their future schedules......lol

As a motivational speaker I would agree...as a pastor with the responsibility to feed over 40K sheep...not to mention his tv audience...not so much.

I dont see how its normal for people who believe in God to put down him when all he does is talk positive and talk about how wonderful God is and things he can do for a persons life.
He hasnt done one single bad thing and yet some still want to put him down...for what?
For being good? For believing in God? He is being blessed by God right now.

Joel doesn't give the full Span of God. Yes he is a God of blessing, but he is also a God of Wrath, Justice, and Holiness. All Joel ever preaches is Prosperity, the Gospel isn't meant for personal gain.

But he does have the best intentions. He just chooses to preach about the blessing part. I think everyone knows what happens if a person sins and dosent believe in God. Some preachers just dont tend to go there with it. For whatever reason he does what he does - he brings in alot of viewers and for that alone i think its amazing because it gives people a person to listen to about how wonderful God is and hopefully its saved and helped many as well.
