Yes...it seems Mr Osteen has forgotten....exactly WHY the Good News is SO GOOD!

what a great video - the contrast is alarming.

I'd critique the video if I could by saying that they just
selectively pulled out those soundbites on Joel Osteen
& purposely left out so many others, but I know his interviews
& sermons and that IS his only message.

Stark difference btwn feel good theology & the gospel.

If you like Paul Washer, I would suggest you would love Frank Bartleman (long deceased.)

go to Amazondotcom and search "Azusa Street". You can get the book for about $10 plus shipping, and I would suggest every Christian should read that book. If you can, get the oldest publication available.

ya, that's nearly ALL his purpose seems to be...

He has no other type of message or teaching information; no depth at all - just 'hang in there, you're payday will come in someday'

very true and that is the scary part because people in his church will never hear the other side of Gods word unless the read id on their own time.

I'm thinking your pastor is the son of Dr Ed Young, Senior Pastor of 2nd Baptist here in the Houston area...they sure look a lot alike.

I went to 2nd Baptist a couple times...pretty huge ministry. I always wondered what the Young Family's thoughts were on Joel Osteen.

It seems your pastor has an understanding of Osteen... does he support Osteen's look inside yourself, feel good about yourself motivational pep talks?

What worries me more is how they feel when they do hear
the other side... from what I've seen, alot of people
who are programmed in all the warm fuzzies - self - "love" & prosperity stuff are not even accepting of it as reality.

There seems to be some rejection & denial of the harsher things
in these crowds. I don't know if that comes alot later after being
fed this type of message continually over time, or if it's even
prior to being fed this diet. ?

Well I admit that if I was standing at a huge buffet table & had my
choice of anything there, I'd most definitely grab the cheesecakes &
