Why do I feel that I cannot get a boyfriend because I am not pretty? I keep telling myself that if I lost weight, got my scars removed, if I had bigger breasts, normal hearing, no mole on my neck, and nice hair someone would like me. All the wrong guys like me, guys that are weird. I don't know why I feel that a lot of guys only like girls for their beauty.

Have you seen the people around you in relationships? Theres a WHOLE lot of them, right? If that is you in your profile pic, you have a real sexy look, and i'm not the kinda guy that just says that,, i'm serious. You clearly don't have any weight issues, and it looks like you take care of yourself. With just those two things you've put yourself in the top 20% of the dating pool. SO many people don't have a 'look'.
I think what you are talking about is all very very normal stuff. For some reason at 18-20 we all ask our selves if we will be alone forever because we don't know what the future holds. Well, the only thing i can say is,,, get used to it, because you NEVER know what the future holds. The good news is that its in Gods hands.

Be comfortable with what you are and who you are. If you can do that, you've rocketed yourself to the TOP of the dating pool.

Here's something I discovered while reading today.

1 Timothy 2:10 - A woman should make herself attractive by the good things she does.

That's a lot different from physical attractiveness. It's so confusing. I mean, I try to do good things and I know lots of girls that do good things, but I have yet to meet any Christian guy that finds that and only that attractive. That's not why I try to live for Christ anyways. I do think that it's how we act and what we do that will make a person more attractive, but if the physical attractiveness is missing from the begining then it makes it that much harder. And physical attractiveness is not only glorified in the world, it's glorified in the church. I heard this preacher say once that he would pray that God would give him a wife that was good and a Godly woman, and then he started to get scared that God would give him an ugly woman, since many good girls were ugly. His wife was very very pretty. It sort of discouraged me. I saw a lot at the Chrisitan college I went to that even godly guys would only look for the ultra pretty girls even if they did sort of bad things. It's kind of like that was forgiven, if she was beautiful and somewhat of a Christian.

I went to a Christian university last year, and the really "pretty" girls were the ones that guys liked and they were definitely Christian guys, but I can't say the same about the girls. Not everyone at a Christian school is Christian, and I realize that. Many non-Christians went to the school because it is the only English university in that city.

I had a room mate who was one of these girls.

I said "pretty" like that because yes, they were pretty, but they did not dress modestly and the like.

I did date guys that were not considered models, and that were geeky. I dated a lot of guys that my friends thought were hideous. They weren't to me, I thought they were all good looking in their own way. Everyone has a different look that they like. The media tries to tell us what good looking is, but deep down we have different tastes. I do not like the stereotypical model guys myself, based on looks only.
