No socialist government has ever come close to being good, and so the word "socialism" is forever tainted and unusable.
Agreed.
However, the idea that all human beings are equal and deserve equal protection, opportunity, and resources is a million times more aligned with the teachings of Jesus Christ than anything that has to do with capitalism or corporatism, which ironically most Christians subscribe to.
Capitalism is quite different to corporatism.
If you look at the Law of Moses, it is one of the most perfect descriptions of Godly capitalism imaginable.

Yes they have the right to vote, if they are American citizens. What does this even have to do with the topic?
As long as the people have the right to vote then the government has not taken charge of them.

Irrelevant, given that Soviet Russia gave everyone the right to vote, for the one party socialist state.

Boy, is that ever wrong. In Venezuela, the people can vote, and they are a socialist country, with a tyrannical government. But according to a Venezuelan native who escaped from there that I heard firsthand, elections are held, and the people they don't want continue to get in despite the fact that millions of people go out to protest. It didn't add up. There's no way they could be winning by the people's voting he said.

Then their "right to vote" is a sham. They have no real right to vote.

But technically, they do have the right to vote. Just because someone does, does not mean the government isn't controlling the people.

No its not a sham, they are entitled to vote and in many socialist regimes they are forced to vote by law. But it's just for different apparatchiks of the same one party.

These countries always seem to have the word "Democratic" in their name, like the former GDR, The German Democratic Republic ie. East Germany.
These Socialist regimes are invariably created on the back of a long campaign of violence and thuggery, exactly the same as employed by Marxists and Fascists in the 20th century.

Very sadly, we see exactly the same Fascist thuggery used by the Democrat Party militia, ie. BLM and Antifa, and top level threats of violence and civil war if Biden doesn't win.
Hitler and Stalin all over again.

And not just the violence, all socialist parties have a history of vote rigging, (both Democrats and UK Labour Party postal vote fixing), again just like Hitler and Stalin.

Democracy and Socialism are an oxymoron
