What do you mean in some realistic sense.In an archetypal sense Mary, Mary shows obedience to God in carry Christ into the world - hence theotokos. We are Christians - The Church - are called to obedience to God to carry Christ into the world.
When we declare the mystical communion of all faithful people to be the Body of Christ, does that not mean in some realistic sense Mary is Mother of us all.
