Regardless if you believe the Catholic or the Orthodox Church is the truth Church, is the Virgin Mary the Mother of all who profess the Nicene Creed, even if they don't venerate her?
I vote for "neither". Though I'm not a Catholic or Orthodox. You might wanted to have posted to one of their safehouse forums to prevent the rest of us from interjecting comments.

In an archetypal sense Mary, Mary shows obedience to God in carry Christ into the world - hence theotokos. We are Christians - The Church - are called to obedience to God to carry Christ into the world.

When we declare the mystical communion of all faithful people to be the Body of Christ, does that not mean in some realistic sense Mary is Mother of us all.

God created man out of dust, He created through man alone (eve from Adam's rib), He created through woman alone (Jesus).

What God has done, is prove He can create.

What has never been proven, is that the church has a female mother in Mary. Our only mother is "The Jerusalem that is above", represented by or personified in Sarah..

That Mary is a mother to us is an extra biblical tradition that wasn't taught in scripture.

It is an ancient Christian Tradition.

It is appropriate to say she is all of those.

Galatians 4:4
But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”

Luke 1
26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth,
27 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.

Because im a follower of Christ. I'm a believer in God's Word.. I don't believe I can add to that, or subtract from it as you have done in this thread.

Scripture tells us our 'mother', yet you deny that truth and replace it with your own desires.. How is that following Christ. We can add all sorts of stuff to scripture if that's the case. .

I think Mary is awesome and I'd love to have been like her in every way, which is why I think she would be appalled at this..

And it is that belief sincerely held, that makes me appreciate being left out of your extra biblical fantasies.
Ok, I am not been rude.
You should understand that the Bible wasn't dictated by God word for word but it was inspired by the Spirit of God. In the same way, we know what Scriptures is because of the Church which also had the Holy Spirit whom he guided them. So I am not making any fantasies.
