And he did things God did not tell him to do... like lie about Sarah being his wife, not once but twice and sleeping with his servant girl to ensure God would follow through on His promise to provide a son. He wasn't perfect, but He was saved by faith... just like the rest of us.
That shows that no man is good, no not one. But may Gods
will be done on earth as in heaven. That's the
truth.
Gods
Will and The
Truth:
Mt 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these
sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a
wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness,
let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7
Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord:
walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and
truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,
but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.17
Wherefore be ye not unwise,
but understanding what the will of the Lord is. 18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 5
But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. 6
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should
not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 7
Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. 8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. 9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. 10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. 11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 14
Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
