What exactly do you suggest they do?

As for examples of them fighting the radicals:

Seems to me that Muslims in the military would be combating radical Islam.

More about soldiers:

DAW031106-7.JPG

A US Muslim soldier of Lebanese origin, Omar Al-Masri, wrote on the side of his personnel carrier: 'We wish Iraq a blessed Ramadan.'

.....We are to make peace with those who have wronged us, strengthen ties with family and friends, do away with bad habits -- essentially to clean up our lives, our thoughts, and our feelings. The Arabic word for "fasting" (sawm)literally means "to refrain" - and it means not only refraining from food and drink, but from evil actions, thoughts, and words.

The following article is a little older article, but a good one supporting Muslims standing for America.

One Muslim's decision to join the US Army

Post #72 Wolseley shared this: "Drop a line to Minneapolis Community and Technical College and remind them of that for me, will you?"

This is the article:
Is college using a double standard on 'entanglement' with religion?

By Katherine Kersten, Star Tribune

From Mickey: All very justified real fears....
My interest in this thread: I have nephews that are Lebanese... and during the time since 9/11 they have had some difficulty because of their nationality though they were born in the USA. They are not practicing Muslims. They are born again Christians, but at this time, it can be very difficult for them. They are Lebanese Americans that stand for and uphold the safety of America. My nephew is considering joining the navy.

salida started the thread with this post:

Intelligence Report: Islam Setting up U.S. - Warn Your Politicans!

Please read: http://www.homelandsecurityus.com/Taylor031907

Your politicians must be told and their phones should be ringing off the hook so they never get any peace!!!

There is a real fear. And it does need to be addressed
for it is a difficult time. . Many innocent people have suffered because of fear. As Americans, we have to be careful and wise.... and also realize the outcome of our reaction to our fear of 'radical things'....we have to use much discernment and wisdom. And for me prayer.....

Below is an example of Americans suffering through our fear.... We must ask ourselves is there a better way?

http://www.archives.gov/education/lessons/japanese-relocation/

order-posting.gif

The attack on Pearl Harbor also launched a rash of fear about national security, especially on the West Coast. In February 1942, just two months after Pearl Harbor, President Roosevelt as commander-in-chief, issued Executive Order 9066, which had the effect of relocating all persons of Japanese ancestry, both citizens and aliens, inland, outside of the Pacific military zone. The objectives of the order were to prevent espionage and to protect persons of Japanese descent from harm at the hands of Americans who had strong anti-Japanese attitudes.

What is the answer?
sincerely
Mickey

Can you imagine what would happen if a college used taxpayer money to make improvements to facilitate Christian prayers???

Or if a college spokesman said something like this:

"Welcome and accommodation are the order of the day for all of the college's Christian students. The college has worked with local Christian leaders to ensure that these students' prayer needs and concerns are adequately addressed."

Ye gods, the local ACLU chapter would blow a gasket. There would be so many freakin' lawsuits filed inside of a week that the local judge would fly to Aruba and refuse to come back.

WAAAY off-topic. Start your own thread if you'd like to discuss this.

Now, where did your claim come from that you have to be searching for evidence now? Surely you've already seen the evidence or you wouldn't make your claim. As it is you're offering Palestinians, who IIRC, make up a large percentage of the suicide bombers, as representatives for the whole Middle East. That doesn't work. That's certainly not "throughout."

Unlike yourself apparently, I do not possess a photographic memory, as such I do not have the url of every article I've ever read at my immediate disposal. Also unlike yourself apparently, I get much of my information from Newspapers and television which makes an unline search necessary, you must agree.

Now, we have Iraq with 45% support of suicide bombers:

http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Leaked_...port_suicide_bombers_who_attack_allied_forces

Charities from Saudi Arabia and Qatar support families of suicide bombers:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/04/03/world/main505316.shtml

Syria and Iran support Hezbollah which uses suicide attacks

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/04/03/world/main505316.shtml

That 6 countries now.7 if you consider that hezbollah is part of Lebanon's government. Shall I go on?

Yes, m'lady.

I wasn't trying to be rude or to order you around, it's just that I've seen a lot of threads closed and cleaned out recently because things went off-topic. I don't have a problem with the issue you raised being discussed, I'm just suggesting that it might be wise to do it elsewhere.

Please accept my apologies of incorrect spelling... I'm a teacher and it aint a strong forte for me! oh and me Grammar too...

Ok, back to the original question. Rahma, Pinqy, BibleMadeMeDoIt, Blueapplepaste and AirPo (to name a few) have compiled terrific comments and statements. With many of their statements containing indisputable fact. But i'm going back to the basics...

I went to a primary school of which we had 27 nationalities. Of which I was one of a handful of Anglo-Saxons. A majority were from the Philippines, Pakistan, Israel and Singapore/Malaysia.

My girlfriend is Muslim. We have been in a loving relationship for over 7 years.

My Girlfriends sister is apart of a group of three, which travel from school to school to answer questions/interests/discuss topics. The three are of Muslim, Christianity and Jewish religion.

A number of my closest friends have family/heritage from Turkey, Israel, Iran and Malaysia and are of Muslim faith. They have supported rallies in Australia against War in Iraq, have discussed irrational questions posed by racist and ill-informed people about issues of their religion, they have rallied against IR laws (a hot topic in Australia's work force) and have shown a strong detest against terrorist/suicidal bombers/and war in general.

A number of my friends of Muslim faith play sport in local competitions. From both genders.

A number of my friends of Muslim faith go to night clubs/concerts/social gatherings and other activities of which people of all races/nationalities/religions enjoy.

A number of my friends of Muslim faith are actively involved with their local municipality (if you need the dictionary…). Either through participating in meetings/discussions held at the local town hall or hold a position as a council member.

I am a white skinned, blue eyed, blonde haired, 6 foot 2 tall Australian male who has been welcomed with open arms into countless of Muslim homes for dinner, bbq's, and social gatherings.

Now, my understanding of the majority of the Muslim communities (through experience) within Melbourne and Australia are working with the Government and fellow Australians to wipe out racism and phobias. They are actively involved with the community they live in. They are NOT planning to take over Australia, as I would believe that they are NOT planning to take over America. A majority of the time people of Islamic faith want to be accepted by the community of which they live in. Racism and prejudiced feelings a strife wherever one goes and it’s a shame when a fellow human being is judged on their appearance or religion. This does occur on both sides and I don’t deny that. Sure you have the occasional radical Islamic who wants to get all the infidels, as you do with the occasional radical Christian who wants to get rid of all the gay and lesbian couples. The Koran (Quran or Qur ‘an) and The Bible alike are both interpreted by many people in different ways. This is due to personal opinion and simply difference of interpretation.

Please don’t let ignorance blind you of what is happening right in front of you and please do not typecast a population (or a religious belief for that matter) due to a couple of bad eggs.

Cheers

As for the colour of the sky, the sky doesn’t have a colour. Due to water vapour and other molecular structures within our atmosphere, light fragments are filtered and refracted to allow only certain degrees of the colour spectrum through. When one looks back on Earth from outer space, what colour is the sky then?

That is very nice for you,and I don't doubt that there are wonderful examples as you describe, but that is no reason,to excuse others of ignorance and blindness, and attacks on those such as the OP, who try to present the danger of Islamic expansionism that is threatening free nations,as many Muslim Authors (Bless Them God) have warned in their books and interviews, and who are also under death threats,I add,for doing so! :prayer: :prayer: :groupray:

I'd be very interested to see how many of the 150,000 were killed by Christians and how many were killed by other Muslims. Today, for example, 160 Muslims (last number I heard, its probably more now) died in car-bomb attacks by other Muslims. :sigh:

ummm, let's see,33 reviews at Amazon alone,so yup,they sure do! ^_^ ^_^

"Editorial Reviews
Book Description
As a result of the work of the American Civil Liberties Union and their war on America, we now live in a country where the church has been progressively silenced, parental authority has been undermined, children are less safe, and human life continues to be cheapened-both at birth and death. While the ACLU and its allies in the media have positioned themselves as the great defenders of freedom, they are in reality eliminating the freedoms of millions of Americans. Sadly, most Americans are unaware of the extreme positions of the ACLU.
But there is hope. Many Americans are waking up to the dangerous agenda of the ACLU. The ACLUvs. America will clue readers in to the culture wars afoot and will equip them to become effective agents for liberty and freedom against the ACLU's onslaught."
