If the supposed moderate majority of moslem vilified the radical elements they'd be as relevant as Fred Phelps. Instead we see suicide bombers hailed as heros -openly, publicly- throughout the middle-east.

As for the Muslim world being larger than the mid-east, ya I know. North Africa, Pakistan, Parts of India and Indonesia. Radical Muslims in each and every one of those regions. And not as fringe groups either, powerful enough that they create political instability in all those regions.

We can even limit it to the Middle East if you want: Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Please show that throughout these countries suicide bombers are publically thought of as heroes. That claim does not fit with the anti-terrorist actions of most of those countries.

They do to a degree. Even a dictatorship can't completely ignore the will of the people without being overthrown. And like I said, I'm open to any evidence that supports your claim that the general populace throughout the middle east (if not the whole Islamic world) hails suicide bombers as heroes. But I'm not going to hold my breath for that evidence.

Not in the mood for a search right now, what say you do a search supporting your claim that suicide bombers are NOT heros to the general mideast population, and I'll gladly retract my earlier statement. Quite frankly, I'd like to be shown to be wrong, it would help me sleep better at night.

7 in 10 palestinians support suicide bombers. Are you going to insist I find out about Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia etc now? Or are you suggesting the Palestinians are the rabid wild dogs of the middle east surrounded by touchy-feely cuddly-bunny loving neighbors?

Perhaps it might be worth asking WHY so many support suicide bombers.
