And that is why he’ll never be president.
Explicit references of what a collective race is supposed to think is never wise and typically political suicide... but then again it's an odd day and who knows who will be standing in the end. Trump rallies Christian support by declaring churches are essential services and Biden calls himself the de facto leader of African Americans. They both are leveraging issues and values of people to get votes like playing a game, but I suppose politicians have been doing the same for years so why are any of us surprised.Well, a track record of recent history could indicate which party tends toward greater help for minority communities.
It was not a smart thing to say
Well, let's be honest though. He's not saying he's the de facto leader of blacks. He's the default choice for blacks....that's what he's saying.Explicit references of what a collective race is supposed to think is never wise and typically political suicide... but then again it's an odd day and who knows who will be standing in the end. Can you name a black person Trump treated like garbage? I don't know of any. I think he's treated a lot of people like garbage, but they're all non-blacks: Rosie O'Donnell, Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz and his wife, all of his political rivals. Except maybe for Ben Carson, who is black. I don't remember him saying anything really harsh about Carson.Sure it does. You role model it.
How does that not make sense?
Copied and pasted:This talking point has not aged well.
What other reasons? But in any case, no, the polling numbers indicate that African American voters have other reasons for their lack of support of the incumbent.

Oh, wait, this is a different attempt to target minority voters with pro-Donald propaganda.
agreed, however to some people they don't see the difference, whether they accept it or nor is a different story.Well, let's be honest though. He's not saying he's the de facto leader of blacks. He's the default choice for blacks....that's what he's saying.
Not that he's right...just mostly right. Still adumb thing to say.
The host wasn't impressed with the comment and sure did not think it was humor. I don't think anyone else did either. Good 'ole Joe - foot in mouth again.
That’s called damage control. And, unlike his opponent, was willing to apologise for his ill-chosen language...
... which his opponent does not practice. That’s called damage control.
And?... which his opponent does not practice.
Rather, he just lets the damage accumulate ...
That’s called damage control.
And?
