This is a blind post. I have not read through the previous pages. The question caught my eye.

All I can do is venture my own opinion, which is this: To get into Heaven, we have to prove that we are absolutely perfect. We must never have done a wrong thing in our entire lives. I don't mean "evil" thing. I mean "wrong" thing. Even the slightest mistake disqualifies. Of course, that applies to nobody, and that's why we need Jesus. He lived His life without doing anything wrong, and paved the way for us.

So, if anybody does not need Jesus, and can live a life of complete perfection, never doing even the slightest thing wrong--and that means NEVER--then yes, I believe that person would be let into Heaven. In theory, anybody who can be perfect would make it. In practice, that person would have to be Jesus Himself.

The rest of us, no. We cannot be perfect.

I deny Jesus as a savior of mankind, but I do think historically speaking, he was a real person. I find it extremely unlikely there is a God of any kind, even more unlikely a god that actually "loves" his creation and for some reason cares so much if people love him back. And to make it clear too, I don't believe in the devil either. I'm an honest and caring person, I've never done an "evil" thing my entire life. With that all said, would I go to hell?

:-D

If you believe of no devil and you believe in hell, the question is:
How can you go to hell if you don't believe in the devil? :) ;)

Then it would appear, part of hell's purpose is for certain humans to go there. At least according to your theology.

There is only two places in eternity:

God = Heaven

Self or Satan = Hell

If you choose to hate God then don't pretend that you'll spend eternity with Him and His people. You WILL have what you have chosen, voluntarily or involuntarily. Very simple and to the point. I you choose to NOT believe in Him, it's YOUR choice. You cannot enter Heaven by your own merits. Jesus is the only way.

He gave His life but most people will reject Him, anyway. He gives you a choice.
The sort of choice the mafia gives you: "Nice soul you got there. Would be a shame if it was tortured for all eternity. I'm just saying, you could do with some salvation, and you're in luck - I've got some!"

Like one of the earliest posters said, it depends on whom you ask. And you sound a lot more honest than some Christians ;)

Personally, I don't believe that Hell is a Biblical concept.

Here's one man's interesting views on Hell: http://redeeminggod.com/?s=hell
And another's; search his website: https://jesuswithoutbaggage.wordpress.com/

And finally one of my postings on life after death: http://tinyurl.com/q8n8mxn

No doubt we all three will be following you to the Fiery Pit for being heretics; actually we are all scholarly types who know how to think independently from those in Parrot School. And all believers too :)

Enjoy!

How do you hate something you don't believe exists?

Do you hate other Gods you don't believe in?

Dear Friend

The Bible clearly says that Jesus is the Way, the Life, and the Truth no one comes to the Father(Almighty God) except through Him. From the beginning, the people have been trying to do good works for the people and moreover they are trying to be a religious man by own efforts. This type of people do the good because of expecting some thing reward for their good works or they are afraid of law whether they will get punishment. So this is pure selfishness. Finally the end is miserable death. Instead of knowing the root cause of death, they believe in their philosophy and own effort to get the victory over them. The root cause of our death and all types of problem is sin and it leads to the destruction. We can;t get victory over them with our own effort and man made religion. We are sinner and deserved for punishment . Thank Lord Jesus , He taken our sin , died on the Cross and rose up again from the death. He is holy One and never sinned , but He had to die, so that we can get eternal life. God has opened the heaven Through Lord Jesus. God has given us free choice to choose. Now it is our time to choose whether to accept or reject the Truth.

So, in theory, no one can, because in practice, they're human - exactly what they were created to be.

God's existence is not dependent upon your belief in Him.
There is only one God and He has made Himself known to all of His creation. Your denial of that fact is not a get-out-of-hell-free card.

SOMEONE RESPOND TO THIS PLEASE. I'M VERY CURIOUS TO SEE WHAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY. (Yes, I quoted myself to bump this up...)

According to the Bible, God is perfect. Therefore, He demands perfection. We, as human beings, have become imperfect because of our sinful choices starting from Adam and Eve. Therefore, we do not qualify nor can we do anything to meet God's standard of justice. This is why Jesus came to Earth to pay with His life in ransom for our souls. The requirement is to repent (change our thinking in regards to how we think we become saved and what the truth is) and trust entirely on His way of salvation. This means forsaking our own person logic and accepting His Word as "absolute truth" -- The Bible.

So, in theory, no one can, because in practice, they're human - exactly what they were created to be.
But we were originally created as perfect. Then humanity fell by disobeying God. The reason we modern humans are not perfect is, we were born after that happened. God didn't do it. Adam did. (Whether Adam is a literal human being, or the personification of humanity, I think, is beside the point.)
