Well, 4.5 billion years is 4.5 billion years old. Simple math. But it doesn't tell you how long it's been in existence, does it?

They made A rational choice.
You can choose rational and do right.
You can choose rational and do wrong.
Yes, but Adam and Eve were predestined to make the rational choice by God Himself. How can they be held culpable for a choice that God Himself predestined them to make?
You say that they had free will, fine... but they used that free will to do exactly what God had created them to do... make the rational choice.
The fault here wouldn't seem to lie with Adam and Eve... it lies with God.
Have a nice day.
What verse or testimony mentions earth being 6000 years old?It is likely the best and most accurate witness is Scripture, revealing about 6000 years as God inspired authors wrote the truth from God as a testimony for all God's People and against the enemies of God.
What verse or testimony mentions earth being 6000 years old?
The verse is about the heavens being old and the heavens have generations as well.If you concatenate the genealogical information in the Bible, you come up with a six thousand year timeline (factoring in the last two thousand years).
As far as the earth being older than six thousand years, Peter makes this point ...
2 Peter 3:5a For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old,
So IF the earth is older than its genealogies, then it's because God created it with age embedded in it.
Can God make a dress tomorrow, so old it falls apart with age?
I think He can.
I would still like to see something in scripture that speaks of earth being 6000 years old. Or at least to count generations to determine such a thing.
Ok and what would the calculator tell me?Then get a calculator and do it yourself.
I did.
And although I came up with some 200 years more than Ussher did, I still use his chronology for the sake of brevity.
ETA: All you need is a calculator and Genesis 5, Genesis 10, and 1 Chronicles 1-9.
Ok and what would the calculator tell me?
Nay just like a mechanical clock won't tell you either. That the earth came into existence in 4004 BC.
Nay just like a mechanical clock won't tell you either.
Indeed you as well.Okay.
Think what you want.
Old as the Galaxy.
The solar system and earth is made up of the elements that are of the galaxy before its formation.No. The Galaxy is much older than the Earth. The Galaxy had to make stars before the remnants of those stars could form into planets as the primary components of the Earth were not part of the original Galaxy.
For the record the age of our Galaxy is about 13 billion years, a few hundred million years younger than the Universe itself, whereas the Earth is only 4.5 billion years old.
The solar system and earth is made up of the elements that are of the galaxy before its formation.
Earth spread out in old atoms is still earth.
