Old earth age is based on hand me down 'taught' aspects of earths age. Who is to say those are correct 'scientific' facts?

Look at carbon dating? It can be extremely unreliable!!

It's amazing then that carbon dating is only used for specific kind of dating then.

Though you also have nothing else to give as evidence that the Earth is as young as 6,000 years. So why should we accept your claims over the evidence?

So as far off as most of those New Zealanders were they were still a whole lot closer than a large percentage of Americans.

Way to go New Zealand.:clap::clap:
Well isn't that kind of " damnig with faint praise "?

I'm of the mind that God's own creation knows best, which gives a 4.5 billion year age of the Earth.
You have a lot of thought, education,
and rationality to overcome if you are
going to get back to the mentality of the
dark ages.

Prove it then.

It's old hat. AiG tells falsehoods about science all the time. Many are so blatant and require actual understanding of what they lie about that the intent to deceive is obvious. There are numerous examples all over the place where the lies are revealed, including on this site in this forum. I am confident in my statement.

I give Yellowstone Hot spot as evidence. They don't even mention it as a hot spot. There are several around the earth, Hawaii for example. AiG does not say word one about the Yellowstone Hot Spot first appearing in Oregon/Nevada border and than burned it's way across Idaho to it's present location. What they say is, “The fact that molten rock remains hot near the earth’s surface is evidence that Yellowstone’s volcanic activity was recent—fewer than 4,500 years ago, according to the Bible´s timescale. So every one of the park’s 100,000 geysers, hot springs, and mud pots is a testimony to the recent Flood.” Which is not at all truthful as actual physical evidence shows.

I could go on with the false stuff they say about the Columbia River, the Ice Age Floods, the vast lava flows here in the Northwest, the Northwest mountains and more. AiG is not truthful.

You say they don't mention Yellowstone then give a quote where they mention Yellowstone.
Speak about not being truthful.
Should I hold the mirror for you?

Please read what I wrote. I said that they do not mention it as a "HOT SPOT". Nor do they say word one about it appearing first at the Oregon/Nevada border and burning it's way to it's present location. They completely gloss the geological history of the Yellowstone Hot Spot over in order to force it into something that in no way resembles it's 16 or so million year past.

So that would be an argument from silence. Maybe you missed a word or two when you listened.

Another argument from silence.

If that was not the focus or their intention it is not a lie.
I talk about the Atlantic Ocean.... am I denying the existence of other oceans?

Truth is truth. Either the full story is told for full truthful disclosure or something if being hidden.

You are reading into their intent the things that you assume about them.
Usually these actions are the result of something in yourself that you are putting onto others.
If you accuse someone of hiding something without asking them about it... then usually you are hiding something and assume others are as well.

Truth is truth... and the Atlantic is a wonderful ocean. According to you I just denied the existence of the Indian Ocean.
Vancouver is a big city on the West coast... therefore according to you LA does not exist.

God gave the authors of the Bible all the information they and their audience could absorb at the time.
If he talked about the entire scope and depth of the solar system, still expanding, it would have been conceivable.
And God knew at some point there would be people who were ready to absorb the magnificence of creation in its scientific fullness.

And we also have the Columbia River Basalt Group. Here's a map.
Columbia River Basalt Group map shows main regions of basalt exposu... | U.S. Geological Survey

According to AiG, these flows happened during the later part of Noah's flood. Which would be a very short time frame. The thing is, there were 26 basalt groups which consist of more than 300 sequences of flood basalt flows. It takes a very long duration of time for one flows to harden for another to flow over it. In some areas long enough for plants and trees to grow. I've harvested petrified wood between flows at a road cut. But also there is none of the evidence we find of massive underwater pillow basalt flows that we find in examples of basalt flowing under water in the oceans. Aside from the over 300 basalt flows, in the Washington try-city area the basalt is a good 2 plus miles deep.

There's speculation that the Yellowstone Hot Spot is somehow involved as it was in Oregon in the same time frame.

Here's a nice picture of the many layers of the Imnaha Basalt group. If your ever fortunate to visit the area the picture hardly touches on the majesty of the view. It's spactacular. Contrary to AiG, none of these flows happened under water.

And you provide no proof of your claims. How long does something like this take in extreme conditions?
Show me exactly how long this takes and the conditions that would be present at the time.
If you don't have every detail in place then your "evidence" can safely be called a myth.

I don't have every detail of the Creation account and y'all call it a myth... so this lovely valley is also created via a myth.

Here's a few resources for your reading pleasure that will answer all of your questions...way more that AiG will ever say in order to keep the lie.

And your references are not first hand eye witness testimony, are they?
So they can be safely ignored.

You're supposed to take their science information by faith.

I see how it is. Your ignoring the evidence you asked for.
Bye.
What lie?
You ignore the questions you don't like or can't answer.

I asked for YOUR evidence... not a link to outside sources.
