So ive been feeling very lonely. When i say lonely I do not meant i have no interaction and seek interaction with people, but I mean that I feel romantically lonely. I feel the need to have a partner to be able to venture through life with, but considering my age (17) I am much too young for that. So i was wondering if anyone had some strategies I could use to suppress or ignore my yearn for a mate (lol).

1. cold showers three times a day
2. only browse web pages with photos of the sex you are not attracted to
3. run half marathons every day
4. 1000 sit ups a day
5. 1000 push ups a day
6. fall in love with God, purity and chastity
7. read lives of the saints who managed without a partner
8. eat foods that don't incite passion, possibly a vegan diet

The best strategy is "wait" for 13 years :) Just kidding!

We all go through that phase you're undergoing right now, it's normal!

Surely, the only reason to date or have a partner is to find someone to marry. At 17, that's way too young.

During early twenties, it would be alright, especially after finishing college. Only few years left to wait so be patient! :)

STrategy for waiting? Find to do something quite useful, like a useful hobby that's all!
