Galatians 2:7-8 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; 8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles)
It's not one gospel against another gospel ...because of the mission-fields... which apparently overlapped in Galatia, since both Paul and 1 Peter 1:1 say they went there.
Remember Acts 15:20?... not much law-keeping is expected of the Gentiles. Well, the same type of thing applies to the Gospels. If we are open-minded, we can find out that Peter was told in Matthew 5:19-20 to keep the Law of Commandments from the Sermon on the Mount which are prefaced by the words "But I say unto you", and told to keep them again in Matthew 7:24-25.
So, half of the answer to this riddle...
"Your mission, should you choose to accept it"
Find the pre-existing good-news-message that matches
the Revelation 14:6-7 "Everlasting Gospel"... each
having the same content, context, and audience...
to keep this Gospel from being called "another gospel",
and subsequently anathemized in the last days.
"... ... this tape will self-destruct in 5 seconds"
The Revelation 14:6-7 "Everlasting Gospel"
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of Heaven,
having the Everlasting Gospel to preach
unto them that dwell on the Earth, and to every
nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Saying with a loud voice,
Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment is come:
and worship Him that made Heaven and Earth,
and the sea and the fountains of waters.
... is this:
Paul says, in one of his
mysteries,
Gentiles would be saved... so, there IS no pre-existing-message to match his grace gospel to them. And since Luke tells the gentiles that there is a time of the gentiles which will end, then we know that when the angel is giving the Everlasting Gospel,
the time of the gentiles has ended.
And when Paul says there is no difference between the Jews and the gentiles, he is speaking from his viewpoint of being literally
grafted into Judah as a Benjamite via the divided kingdom of Solomon verses.
And so, since Paul says that Peter went to the circumcision... which matches Matthew 10:5-7 "go into the way of the gentiles",
Peter and his Galilean brother-Disciples went to everyone-circumcised EXCEPT Judah... via Matthew 23:37-39.
Jerusalem/Judah became a fact sometime after the division of the land at Joshua's conquest, since Benjamin was given what was then called Jebus after the people who'd built Jerusalem... and it makes perfect sense that Benjamin was grafted into the "house of Judah", since it still belongs to him.
But because Solomon's kingdom is still divided,
1 Peter 2:10 and Hosea 1:6-10 come into play. Because it's the literal
"house of Israel" of the 10-tribed-northern-kingdom which
is found by Iesus when He preaches the Gospel of the Kingdom to those who sat in darkness in Matthew 4:12-17.
And Iesus says He didn't come to save the righteous, but to call the sinner to repentance... so that He "came only unto the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel" means that the temple's sin-sacrifices were being attained by the "house of Judah".
And here's the other half of the riddle:
To the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel
