If you could stop trying to derail this thread, I'd appreciate it.Incarceration behind bars can literally be a living hell or "purgatory" for most of those there.
But like the say, "do the crime, do the time".
Living In Hell: The Five Worst Prisons On Earth
From physical abuse and disease, to severe overcrowding and gang violence, the following five terrifying pits of chaos and despair are the worst prisons in the world.
James chapter 4 verse 12I'll use Hitler since he is, for the most part, universally reviled.
And for this discussion, there will be an assumption that hell is where the unrepentant sinner ends up. This will NOT be as discussion on hell itself.
So for the sake of this discussion, are you happy that Hilter (or any reviled person in history) ended up in hell? If so, why? If not, why?
That's nice. Care to address the OP?James chapter 4 verse 12
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you--who are you to judge your neighbor?
We don't know if Hitler repented, in his last moments, and God is the only judge.

Had some time to think about it now...I'll use Hitler since he is, for the most part, universally reviled.

Okay.Brother?
You do know the Father does not jest nor every talks like this nor thinks like this. We are to HAVE the same mind as Christ. When did you become God? NO I will not ever for the sake of "discussion" talk about someone a GOD made and then talk as if "white throne" judgment has happen. This is no GAME. No fear of GOD what so ever. We cant know the heart of anyone. Been there ..people that on there last breath repent... hey.. its not kids my creation you talking about.. but its my Fathers.. and I dont like it..praise GOD
Its this how YOU would like to be treated? And forgive me.. YOU should be leading by example. Please.. there is no way around this one.

Are you saying that you know that anyone who committed suicide is in Hell?He committed suicide.
No. I'm happy that evil has been removed. I'm not happy that anyone, even the notorious Hilter, is in hell.So for the sake of this discussion, are you happy that Hilter (or any reviled person in history) ended up in hell? If so, why? If not, why?
AgreeJustice is coming for all of us. I wouldn't be too happy about anybody else's fate since there's a chance you might share in it. None of us are as perfect as we'd like. And I need a lot of mercy.
Alrighty. But what does that have to do with the OP question?
are you happy that Hilter (or any reviled person in history) ended up in hell?
Does that help?I wouldn't be too happy about anybody else's fate since there's a chance you might share in it.
Sometimes my hands work quicker than my mind. Mea culpa........And since I have already answered the OP, I will resign from posting here.....Alrighty.
Does that help?
Finally, an answer I agree with.Hammster,
I think, for me, the answer to this question is both "no" and "yes."
No, I am not happy that anyone is in hell, no matter how "bad" they were here in this world. Why? Two reasons. First, human beings—people made in the image of God—in hell strikes me as a lamentable thing, something that, given Genesis 1-2, should never have been. Second, and more importantly for me, I know that Hitler was no more evil than I am now. The only difference is God's restraining grace. Therefore, I am not happy that Hitler is in hell because I know that that's what I fully deserve, and that's where I would be were it not for the grace of God.
However...
Yes, I am "happy" for this fact because, for me, it means two things. First, it means that God's justice is being demonstrated upon the wicked, bringing more glory to his name. Second, it means that God is a just God, who by no means clears the guilty. I rejoice in the fact that people like Hitler will get in return infinitely more than what they themselves inflicted upon others. Yet, as I said above, I also tremble because I know I deserve the same.
So, to sum up, I cautiously answer both "no" and "yes," depending on which aspect(s) of hell and the justice of God of which I happen to be speaking. I hope you find this to be a somewhat satisfactory answer.
I forgive you.Sometimes my hands work quicker than my mind. Mea culpa........And since I have already answered the OP, I will resign from posting here.....
