I haven't the time to read all the posts here, but global warming is a big hoax.

You should read the rest of the thread.
Big hoax? Elaborate please.

The proof to me is that Mars is also increasing in temperature.

I have to laugh when people try and compare our planet to another planet. Its not that easy. Mars and its atmosphere is COMPLETLY different to earth's. They are in different orbits and different positions in our solar system. How do you think that Mars' situation is anything like ours? Please provide scientific journals and/or peer reviewed papers.

Codger said:
How many polluters live on mars?

Bad argument.

Codger said:
It's just the normal cycle of solar activity.

Again, please provide evidence.

I don't waste my time on "The sky is falling " crowd.

Its scoffers like you that will be in for a rude awakening one day. Wish I could be there to say "I told you so".

I'm glad that there are people in the world that especially care about the envirnment, but they always seem to go to the extreme in their efforts.
Emphasis mine.
What a bad stereotype and overgeneralization.
Are you going to use logic and reason, or just poor arguments?

Codger said:
Kind of like the fear mongers of Y2K days.

The two have nothing to do with each other! The Y2K people were interested in money. They wanted us to buy the newest patches to fix the problem or whatever else they were selling. The environmentally conscious crowd isnt selling anything.
Again, bad argument.

I'll await your rebuttals.

God bless,

Lucas

Lucas,

I don't disagree that we should look after the environment and be responsible with God's Creation.

But I just think that our priority should be on reaching the lost with Christ's love, not debating the ozone layer.
That's so out of our hands that there isn't much we can do. Big Corporations run the world, so they're going to dictate what we'll do to the environment.

Given that, what we can do is provide Christ's hope, peace, and love for others during these perilous times.

How incredibly misguided and narrowminded.

No, if I were misguided and narrowminded I would have said I wasn't glad people care about the environment.

Hi Sherry,

In my only trip to Minnesota, back in 1969, it was snowing when I arrived on April 28th. What is the temperature now?
Barry
Believe it or not it has been in the 70-80's which is very unusual for minnesota. We normally have winter like weather all the way to the middle of may.

I remember the summer of 1969 in Minnesota, it was very mild. I learned to play golf, but when i got back to Texas I didn't like playing in the heat , so i gave it up. I once asked a resident of northern Minnesota what they did there in the summer. He said, if it comes on a week-end they go swimming. Sounds like things have changed dramatically.
