I'd like to point out there is a difference between cursing someone and speaking out a word of knowledge the Lord gives.

If God shows a person that someone will bring a curse on themselves because of their judgmentalness towards God's spokesperson, it is not the speaker of that word of knowledge who is responsible. God chastises people, it's fact and it's fact seen throughout the word both OT and NT.

Do you do PR for a living? Benny should hire you. After all the crazy he needs someone to selectively translate his behavior and words.

Just to clarify:

Benny wasn't calling down curses on Christians.

He was speaking one of the LORD'S promises about his attackers.

If you aren't one of Benny's attackers, you have nothing to worry about.

The LORD made it clear ONLY people who curse others will be cursed by the LORD.

Stop cursing, speaking evil against, Christians, and you will be safe from any curses, because:

"An undeserved curse does not go forth." - Proverbs 26:2 LEB

IOW, walk the love walk, and you have nothing to worry about.

Wise words bro.

And yet this is exactly what Benny Hinn does when he says:

Benny Hinn: Yes, Lord, I'll do it. I place a curse on every man and every woman that will stretch his hand against this anointing. I curse that man who dares to speak a word against this ministry. But any man and any woman that raises his or her hand in blessing towards this ministry, I bless that man. I bless that home! I bless that family.
...
Benny Hinn: Under this anointing, the words I speak cannot fall to the ground. Under this anointing, everything I say, happens.

(Praise The Lord, Trinity Broadcasting Network, September 10, 1999)

Acts: 13. 8. But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. 9. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, 10. And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? 11. And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. 12. Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

Go figure.

Context seems to be something many Christians pay no mind to unfortunately. Many who are against the more lively churches where God moves seem to go to any lengths to tear them apart by taking their words words as well as the word of God out of context.
Sadly true.

And they're missing the peace, joy, and safety of the love walk.

Pray for us and Benny too! Benny needs our prayers.
We all need prayer.

You, me, Benny.

The LORD loves us all, and we ought to love one another.

The love walk will positively change anyone's life experience.

The LORD will help us do this if we ask.

We NEED HIS love to love others.

Ours is insufficient.

"I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. 35 By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves]." - John 13:34-35

No need.

The secular media already excels at misconstruing anything a servant of the LORD says and does.

And some of you have swallowed their propaganda hook line and sinker.

When will you learn that they do it for money?

Truth has never been the secular media's goal.

Why do you trust their words over the LORD'S words?

Are you trying to claim that this is a word of knowledge:

Benny Hinn: Yes, Lord, I'll do it. I place a curse on every man and every woman that will stretch his hand against this anointing. I curse that man who dares to speak a word against this ministry.

peace,
Simon
This is Benny saying what the LORD has said:

"I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you." - Genesis 12:3

IOW, Benny doesn't need to curse anyone.

It's a spiritual law already in operation to deal with those who attack the LORD'S servants.

If you're walking in love towards everyone you have nothing to worry about.

Does this really work?

"I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you." - Genesis 12:3

Those of you who spend a lot of time speaking against others, look back at your life history.

Was there a time when you were first saved and the LORD'S blessings were evident in your life?

When did things start going downhill?

Was it after you kept talking against others?

Do you remember the LORD trying to get you to love, forgive, bless, etc, but you chose to keep speaking against others?

Is this a bad habit of yours - finding fault with others and speaking against them?

Do you find it easier to speak against people, rather than speak good about people?

Has even your family told you they don't like how you speak against others?

Do you find friendly happy people don't enjoy your company?

Only other complainers and grumblers want to talk with you?

Do you find you dislike most people?

If this is you, ask and keep on asking the LORD to give you HIS heart and love for people.

The love walk is a high quality lifestyle you'll wish you'd started sooner.

I didn't know about this forum until a thread in the WOF forum got moved here.

I had a hard time at first with the unkindness people showed towards others.

Attacks on WOF felt like a knife in my chest because I'm wholeheartedly wof.

I felt anger, bitterness, hurt, pain, etc grow up in me because of the attacks.

I slipped into speaking out of hurt and anger towards the attackers, but found the sharpness spread to my interaction with people I liked.

IOW, bad attitudes have a way of tainting even good relationships, because I can't have love and anger in my heart at the same time.

I've been praying a lot about what was happening in me, and what was going on with the attackers.

The end result is, I had to learn to walk DEEPER in the love walk.

I needed to receive the LORD'S heart and love for EVERYONE.

HE showed me how much HE loves everyone, despite what they do or say.

The end result is, I need HIS love to love others, because mine is insufficient.

Walking the love walk is opening doors to greater blessing.

The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY gets all the glory, and I get blessed.

I would like to see us all walk the love walk and be blessed in greater degrees.

We're all family.

We may have disagreements, but with the LORD'S help, we can work it through in a way that pleases HIM.

Even though Benny Hinn isn't wof, the LORD told me to stand up for Benny because the LORD loves him as much as HE loves you or me AND he is OUR brother.

We SF/charismatics are family - wof, non-wof, Pentecostal, AOG, Charismatic Catholics, Charismatic Lutherans, Charismatic Baptists, Charismatic MJ's, etc.

And we're part of the bigger family of ALL believers.

All believers are a part of the family of mankind made in the LORD'S image and likeness.

Because all mankind is one family, the LORD doesn't want us speaking against anyone.

We are to love and pray for our neighbor, our brother, our enemy, the lost, etc.

We are to hate, dislike, curse, speak against NO one.

Does Benny have faults?

Do you and I have faults?

Does your mother, father, spouse, children have faults?

What are our faults?

They're sins against the LORD GOD.

Even when we sin against others, we sin against the LORD GOD, because HE'S our FATHER, and the ONE we're disobeying when we sin.

We all have to be sorry for our sins, and get the LORD'S help to not do those sins again.

Scripture tells us to pray to the LORD when we see another in sin.

Why?

Because the LORD is the only one who can deliver any of us from sin, and change us from the inside out.

NO one can change themselves.

The LORD loves mercy.

Let's choose to walk in mercy and love.

Let's pray for each other when we see each other in sin.

Let's not attack each other.

The LORD said:

"Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy!" - Matthew 5:7 AMP

"For to him who has shown no mercy the judgment [will be] merciless, but mercy [full of glad confidence] exults victoriously over judgment." - James 2:13

This is it last one you inspired a question.

This is a Charismatic fourm Truthfrees named those who are a part of a movement out side there denominations,or if you consider yourself Charismatic in general terms.

How do you feel when you hear a John MacArthur rant against all Charisma saying it is demonic?
No he does not pick on just one,he clumps us all together in one package.

He says the gifts were for yesterday, speaking in tongues is demonic Paul was trying to straighten out
The evil Church at Corinth.

How do you feel when someone you know follows him?
Do you fear if they find you out your relationship will be broken over tongues and gifts?

That is my parting thought, and the rain falls on the just and the unjust.

I love that you were able to see your own 'stuff' while addressing others about their stuff. That is a sign of real growth. I can see where the Lord uses these contentious people to teach us how to deal with challenging people in our own lives. Simply bc if we can't deal with them in a loving manner here, how on GOD's GREEN EARTH!! will we deal with the unbelievers in the real world.
And yes, if I go to an area of the boards that I can not be loving on, I have to stay away.
I'm a former mormon and as soon as I witness to them something within me rises up in outrage over the lie of mormonism and I find myself telling them the truth but without love. No one receives truth when its given without any kindness... so until I can do better, I stay away.
I have found it very surprising to me. I see a lot of good things I learned through those times and the mormons were very nice, I had no trauma bc of it... I just get angry so I know the problem is within me... need to get that root out... ugh. :prayer:

God bless and thanks for the testimony, andrea

How did the LORD deal with someone's sin?

1. HE said nothing about or AGAINST the sinner.
2. HE told the accusers that the one WITHOUT sin was to cast the first stone.
3. Alone with the sinner, HE told the sinner HE did not condemn them, AND to go and sin no more.

WHY is each person's sins the LORD'S business?

1. HE has a way of causing them to change their ways.
2. HE'S fair and just.
3. HE doesn't condemn.

The Pharisees said the sinner was caught in the act of sin (a sin which takes 2 to commit) yet they brought only 1 sinner before HIM. Why did they condemn 1 of the 2 sinners? Why did they show mercy to the other sinner?

This is why we're to leave sin and judgement to the LORD.

We're not fair or just enough to be discussing or dealing with anyone's sin.

In fact, we need the LORD'S help to deal with our own sin.

"2 Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.
7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” " - John 8:2-11

The great ironies in this thread, are that people are defending Benny Hinn for calling down curses on Christians, while criticising us, for criticising Christians who call down curses.

It's especially troubling when these Christians who defend Hinn claim God is ONLY a God of love, so all curses, evil and harm come from Satan not God.

hmmm...So which is worse:

1. To call down a curse on Christians for criticism
2. To claim critising is wrong, but then criticise those who criticise
3. To criticise a Christian for calling down a curse

I believe:

1. Is abhorrant, and there's no excuse for it
2. Is blatant hypocrisy (and requires spiritual blindness)
3. Is unfortunate, but sometimes necessary

peace,
Simon

I thought Truthfrees added greatly to the discussion. There is nothing wrong with discussing that the way we handle those individuals who offend us is important to our walk in Christ and theirs. I liked that TF mentioned that being ugly here might actually overflow into our own homes and into our personal relationships... thats a truth that is important for all of us to ponder.

No the the great irony is that people will take two lines from a lifetime of ministry and try to make that individual anathema. You have given him no grace and in turn if he were to say to you, that you will receive no grace bc of that ... is that wrong?? Bc scripturally that is what I see.

I don't care for Hinn but I do care that ministers are all disparaged like this... B.Graham gets torn to shreds, Rick Warren ugh ugh... how ugly people are to this man. When you criticize ministers, you must remember that we are all subject to the same condemnation. If I followed you around with a camera for years, I am certain that there would be lots of things to criticize. So fine, be critical of him for this... thats okay. But to continue to suggest that there is no more to him is just ugly.
I hate those expose' sites, the anti-everyone sites, that claim to root out evil. CARM has one, you know what happened in his family...?? his attitude spilled over into his personal life and his daughter now speaks out against Christianity.
I pray and believe she will one day come back but her personal testimony revealed that the heart of her faith was a legalistic time bomb that would eventually have to explode one way or the other.
Ugly Christians do not cleanse anything, they add to the problem and allow others to look at the faith and criticize us for our self-righteous hypocrisy.

Hypocrisy is not pointing out when someone else is wrong, it's doing it in a manner that doesn't have the grace that God gives us.

Gotta get ready for work... see ya, andrea
