Haha, look around in this thread. I've seen maybe 10 people that actually presented themselves as kind, loving people. Everyone else looks like they want to grab a pitch fork and go to Erwin's house. It's sad.
I don't hate Erwin and I'd never advocate punitive attitudes or actions.
I'm just sad and disappointed is all. :(

AGain Jim, Noone's against him for CHANGE, the issue is WHICH DIRECTION HE CHANGED IT TO.
That's the operative issue.

He could have easily made some alterations to definitions and stopped alot of the Christian complaining (and alot of the Christian complaints WERE VALID - I know some great believers that left after getting warnings for preaching TRUTH here).
Instead, it's wide open now and watered down w/ a more secular flavor.

I see your point and agree, however, there is some ONUS to Erwin in this drastic decision in going this far the other direction!

SUNMESSENGER: - i AGREE, ERWIN CHOSE THE WAY HIS HEART LED HIM TO GO in this change.
I have actually seen members banned for simply posting Scriptures without comment of any kind. It did indeed happen. Telling someone they are going to hell is a big no-no on the reformed CF. I often wondered if Christ would have been banned for the way he flamed the Pharisees. I am sure John would have been.

So how exactly do we reach out if we cannot tell someone the results of not being a Christian?

"Forum based Social networking for you!"

Translated to mean that you can now have fellowship with the same people Jesus did in 30 AD.

Jesus said, "If you do it unto the least of these, it is the same as you do it unto me"

The disciples said, "But Lord when did we see you on a gay forum at foru.ms"?

"When did we see you openly advertise that your flesh was available for sexual purposes on a forum at foru.ms"?

"Why we have never seen these things before, Lord"

The Lord said, "You will" and then He added

"But my Word will not come back to me void"

The Lord is no respector of persons ...

All hands stand by for a new learning experience ... this change has nothing to do with money.

This change is for people to see Jesus in us ...

The rules still apply, people. Do not flame members or groups of members - that includes saying or implying that a self-professed Christian is not a Christian. This is obviously a time when emotions are running high, but please take a moment before posting to think about whether you're being respectful towards the other members in your post.
What rules ? Since this changed over I still do not know what those have settled out to be . They change by the minute don't they? What a stupid and awful system...

So if a univeralist or a Mormon says he is a Christian one may not question that ?

Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

I don't care for the name, but its not the name I have a problem with, my problem is, why on earth was the christian forums shoved to the bottom? I think thats why alot are starting to question this place now.

Are Christians defined by Creeds or by the Holy Spirit?
Sure, so long as those people continuously present themself in a manner indicative that they are acting by the Spirit.......

I stand firm in my faith, and found this a great place to be with likeminded people. If now we must be thrown to the lion of politically correct "inclusivity" and have flame wars with steaming heretics calling us all sorts of names .... what is the point?

Is this true? Can we not share the gospel?

Rules ?
I honestly don't recall reading any rules about foru.ms when signing up on Christianforums.com

Seriously, why would a gay person want to come here and talk with such bigots? I don't think there's any danger of this happening.

But there are many who rather have the logo and names do it for them rather than through us.

Well all this did is unite at least most Christians against him and this idea. A negative unity. Just great. Even if the mission was impossible it was worth striving for and it was getting closer with every hour and prayer that passed by.
Amen to that Sun. I felt like it was getting closer and now it has been mocked by removing the name of the place as if the achievement of that -- or approaching the achievement of that -- were somehow NOT Christian.

Bottom line is, it's Erwin's site and he can do with it what he pleases. Sometimes having a site turn into a money machine can cloud one's judgment. I liked most of the recent changes BECAUSE they came closer to fulfilling the original vision than letting the site go to the "dogs" (pharisaic types) who wanted to conduct private heresy sniffings and witch hunts and exclude everyone who didn't goose-step up and down the square with them -- but now with removing the name I think CF stands to lose the real Christians as well as the pharisees -- and that sucks.

The rules at the bottom of the page. These rules.

Even without having it spelled out, however, most people tend to know how to be polite.
