yes to win them over to Christ , but if they refuse to hear you/me kick the dust off thy feet .......... so are you ready to kick the dust during your social networking experience or are you going to be friends with the world and make yourself an enemy of God ?

Seriously, why would a gay person want to come here and talk with such bigots? I don't think there's any danger of this happening.

Why would be just "gays"? Why not "adulterers" and others? We cannot limit just to gay but other sins as well.

I'm just sad and disappointed is all.

Saying you are disappointed is one thing. I can understand disappointment, shock, whatever. But presenting yourself (maybe not you...I can't remember) in such a way that you come off as a complete jerk...well, that doesn't do anything. People fail to realize that lots of people read their posts and maybe they've never seen you on this forum before...when they see you acting rude, and distasteful...thats their first impression of you. And let me tell ya, its not a good one. I'm just saying, yelling, and shouting and typing in BIG CAPITAL LETTERS!!!!! does absolutely no good, and makes you come off as a prick. And it definitely doesn't get anything accomplished.

So I vote we stop looking as a bunch of jerks, show some love, and maybe try and understand the situation. If you disagree, ok, thats fine. You're allowed to and it is expected. But present yourself in a better manner. Maybe you wont get so many sarcastic remarks. Maybe for once, just once, you could have a quality discussion on the issue.

This change is for people to see Jesus in us ...

Being out in the real world isn't quite the same as being on a thread where you're bombarded by post after post of skeptics forcing you to defend your beliefs.

You've been somewhat sheltered from it, but you probly won't be unless some people VOTE to change things.
I dunno.....
People who think this is wonderful will need to stick around and do some discussions to see the pitfalls of this new "vision".

Let us know later if you enjoy your faith being attacked relentlessly and constantly.

The name of this forum is what attracted me here a year and a half ago. Now the change in name will be sending me seeking another forum.

I need a place to grow and this is not it.

If you think telling someone they are "going to hell" constitutes sharing the gospel, you need to go back to the New Testament and READ the gospels again, and try emulating Jesus. By Jesus' example, the only ones who need to be told they are "going to hell" are those who are not already living in it. In other words, the sort of people who go around telling others they are "going to hell". Jesus reserved His staunchest rebukes for pharisees and religious leaders. For SINNERS He had nothing but compassion and encouragement, lifting them up out of the hell they were already in.

I found a post by an Athiest that asked Erwin to bring back the name change, and posted it here. It was just overlooked and no one commented. How sad that was. Because if an athiest asks, would that not be the one sheep that Jesus went back for? To me, that is the world screaming out, show me Jesus. It's not in the "name", but in the fact His Name is gone completely, and everything else was exalted above the name of the christian forums. My heart is broken.

But we followship with other "Christians" that we don't agree with their doctrines. Is that just as the same as with the "world"?

Not really, that could be a violation of "Any attempt to intimidate or silence another person/point of view is a rule violation."
By telling someone that there not correct, they may see that as an attempt to intimidate or silence there POV.
