Hello!! Is is HOT outside or what?? And the humidity this year wooo is just grand. :)
Don't get me started. I took my kids to the pool and the water was a whole 4 degrees cooler than the air, and there was no breeze. I thought I was going to melt.

I can handle the heat.... I just don't think that I will ever get used to the high humidity.....

The winters down here feel like North Dakota sumemrs. (My home state) Besides the humidity... it doesn't cool down at night. I never thought it could be 88 degrees by 9 AM!!!!!!!!!!!! *sigh* guess I will always be a "northerner" at heart. hehehe :p

I grew up in SW Miami (attended Emerson Elementary, West Miami Jr. High, South Miami Sr. High, Miami Dade College...also University of North Florida in Jacksonville for 1 term, and Bob Jones University in South Carolina for 2 years), but moved away from Miami 5 years ago. Lived in Dunnellon for 1 1/2 years, and now have lived in Ocala for the past 3 1/2 years. I am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad I moved out of Miami!

When I first moved from Miami to Dunnellon/Ocala, it was Christmastime, and I thought I had moved to Alaska! The cold weather was a SHOCK, and it took me quite some time to get used to it! Also the bugs here are MUCH bigger than the ones in Miami! I was also shocked that people here actually wave at you, and you actually hear English here when you go into the stores and out in public! People here complain about the traffic...ha! They don't know what road rage and traffic problems ARE! And some people are terrified to go into the "bad" sections of town...from what I've experienced so far, the "bad" sections here are TAME compared to certain areas in Miami!...although I have heard that there are areas here that could be dangerous too...
