Actually it's a fairly reasonable idea given a firmly terrestrial perspective, and if you don't pay too much attention to the behavior of celestial objects. Once somebody realizes that the rising and setting of the sun don't seem to make much sense then the whole thing begins to fall apart.

Actually it's a fairly reasonable idea given a firmly terrestrial perspective, and if you don't pay too much attention to the behavior of celestial objects. Once somebody realizes that the rising and setting of the sun don't seem to make much sense then the whole thing begins to fall apart.

As Eratosthenes proved, we need just a stick and two distant cities to prove the Earth is not flat. As easy as a pie.

Also, for your explanation how all the faked satellites work as they are supposed to work, all the time. Who operates the balloons, who is faking the satellites and why you cannot see and photograph any in the skies. And how can balloons keep the precise formation like the Musk's skylink.

I know Piccard said this, as I know a guy who has this magazine who has shown the actual print of what piccard said.
