Which one of these is more important for salvation: faith or love? And why do you think so?
Whose faith and whose love?Which one of these is more important for salvation: faith or love? And why do you think so?
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

A non-believer can love but a believer must love.
I would like to believe that all who love, do that because the Spirit of God moves them to do so. I believe they will be judged as they live. Those who show mercy, will receive mercy. Those who love, will be loved. So for the non-believer who does not have faith in Christ (due in no fault to his own) but loves his neighbor as himself, would that love save him do you think? I would argue that it would.
