The forums did do some good, I remember seeing one creationists who supposably took off to another forum because of the heavy handed and one sided moderating.

That's why I took off (even though I'm not a creationist). I didn't like the fact that posts would get randomly deleted without explanation. Not to mention the frequent bannings.

I can understand why he wanted to create a forum with a higher signal-to-noise ratio. The problem is the forum politics overshadowed any meaningful discussion to be had there.

I seriously doubt working evolutionary biologists have the time or skill to hack into creationist sites.`.

They think they can promote evolutionism by silencing all opposing views. Creationist have never needed to do this.

Yeah, right, trying to make laws which forbid the teaching of evolution isn't silencing opposing views at all.

Now go ahead and ridicule me all you want. I don't care. It is my duty to make sure the tactics of evo hackers don't go unkonwn.

It might be useful then if you could tell us some specific examples.

I have no interest whatsoever in ridiculing you, but I would like to know why you believe that evolutionists hack sites with which they don't agree.

My Lord of the Rings forum has been both hacked and raided, but no member there has ever believed that anyone was trying to suppress the works of Tolkien thereby.

Which is when most of the evolutionists were banned for no good reason, labelled as trolls and prevented from even viewing the board, then the "hacker" came along and just happened to destroy the board but not until Fred could backup the "troll" list and start a new.

Now there's an interesting take on it, arikay. I'm not familiar with the site (who's Fred?), but I am familiar with hackers being disgruntled members of the board, rather than "enemies".
Usually when the owner and webmaster of a board chooses to clear it, he just does, but that causes a great deal of hard feeling among the members he wants to keep, so I suppose this would be a 'better' solution?
Of course, it's a solution to a problem I don't understand: there are many threads on many boards in which I can be clearly seen to totally kicked to the curb in debate, CF being one of them.
Worse yet, many of my temper tantrums have been saved for posterity, but that what makes message boards much like life, I think. I don't really care for the thought of a sort of internet cotton candy world in which I appear to be more than I am, gratifying as it would be if I could actually refrain from giving all and sundry a regular view of my nether regions.
