Which god? Everyone believes in things that they want to to be true, that include christians, muslims, budhists, hundus, and yes pastafarians it does not mean it is. Science is one of the means of testing what is true.
These pithy little one line replies aren't helping convince anyone.

.. your evidence (and ouh we have heard it we have had it stuffed down our throats for decades)..is constantly changing constantly unreliable and constantly disproving itself -goodness now we have science telling us the human race is one race and we have science telling us they are digging up dinosaurs bones with soft tissue ..etc .. blah blah
some do choose to believe that .. but its mostly because they are losing faith .. (it may not be a thing you comprehend ).but the lord JEsus is the truth .. and truth is not governed by facts, He creates facts where there is no fact and then changes it if he so pleases .
Science changes and develops theories according to evidence. Religion ignores the evidence and closes its mind. May I suggest you stop cherry picking, ie. Seeing one piece of evidence and because that appears to your definition of the theory to contradict it, unilateraly declaring the whole theory false. Read dawkins, steven j gould and open that mind to the possibilty at least that evolution might be 'gods mechanism'.im not trying to convince you but i am being honest
The point is .. the conclusion you chose to come to are exactly that .. choice .its just that so few are honest about it . you want things to be a certain way and so you filter everything your told or presented ,gathering incomplete data with extreme bias and rejecting God .
and when all is said and done you offer me no scientific or logical reason to exist.. i might s well end it all now fi anything you say is true . thankfully it is not .
because as all born again christians ,having acted by faith on what God has told us,(which begins by the "choice " to turn away from our own thoughts and believe in the Lord Jesus ) i have tangibly experienced the result he promised i would and by this i know it is true ..
it is not that you cannot beleive in Him.. it is that you "will" to not believe.
and in equal honesty i "will" to not believe any evidence you think you can present. but for a different reason.being , the broken partial unreliable evidence you attempt to present leads me no where and offers me nothing .

No, it's not. It's because they are willing to accept reality, God's creation if you so will, on its own terms. What sense does it make to find fossils that can be dated to millions of years old, and numerous geologic processes that take eons if the world is young? Is God a liar?
And yes for all we know he created earth last tuesday at 2.16pm. LOL.

All you did was change the word facts and use the word reality and yet later you'll probably say reality is relative .. ahh the inconsistency goes on and on .. and God remains .
you see in my reality God fed 5000 people with 5 loaves and 2 fish and the crowd did not have to wait for them to evolve . you will say its a myth .. but that's what you "chose ' to believe .. i do wish more atheists would at least be honest .
and the Good news is .. if we turn away from our own way and choose to believe in the Lord Jesus he then acknowledge that choice
