Mother Theresa was profoundly humble and that is what's sorely lacking in today's society. You have to have humility and others have to feel this virtue from those who want to promote oneself.
Have you read any of the popes that have been posted? Its hard as heck to live like we are called to live with the godless way our secularized socity shoves sin down our throats. Yes, if I stand up and say what an abomination Bruce Jenner is and the whole transgender nonsense is, I get attack and called a transfobic. The temptations we are face with to standup and speak out is a persecution.
You're serious, aren't you? We need to only go back in time Mike, before we passes godless evil laws. Like abortion, like same sex marriage, like way back when there was no such thing as no fault divorce and quicky divorces.
...huh?Communist Russia is who spread her error to the world thinking we don't need God, His laws, that government is all we need to govern even our concious. If you do not realize we are there then I have no words.
So, theocracy then. Cool. You're serious, aren't you? We need to only go back in time Mike, before we passes godless evil laws. Like abortion, like same sex marriage, like way back when there was no such thing as no fault divorce and quicky divorces.
When the Pope talks about persecution, he's not actually talking about armchair persecution that westerner "suffer". Nor is he talking about accepting transgender people as, well, people.Have you read any of the popes that have been posted? If you can come up with a secular argument for it, me three.I get that you'd like to see the state not recognize gay marriage and abortion. I'd like that too.
She also was a contempletive. Very prayerful and her motto was "something beautiful for God" that's what our work is to accomplish, we are to transform ourselves into something beautiful for God. I don't know what exactly you're debating. Surely you haven't become a humanist? You must not fall into the devil's snare of the false dichotomy we either work for the temporal needs or we work for the spiritual. We must do both and the whole entire point of this whole discussion is to understand that if we only seek to care for the temporal needs and wants of our neighbor and neglect the spiritual by gaining them earthly comforts at the expense of apostatizing God, we are hastening, actually causing the end of the ages. This is why any kind of government that apostatizes faith can never be a choice in any nation. We can not have a secularized government making God forsaken laws just because "not everyone believes like us". That's the point, their unbelief is what will pave the way of the anti Christ.Mother Theressa was humble but was also a skilled promoter. She understood that the more attention she brought to the sick, the more people would care. She also knew that the more people saw what a difference she made and what sacrifices she made, the more they'd be motivated to help. Her letters are fascinating!
As a Catholic, you should be well aware of the message of Fatima and Saint John Paul ll consecration....huh?
...Yeeeessss... but what's that got to do with Communist Russia? As a Catholic, you should be well aware of the message of Fatima and Saint John Paul ll consecration.
It makes me think of this:She also was a contempletive. What are you even talking about? You seem to be claiming secularized government around the world is of no consequence, that it all rides on the shoulders of the individual??? Did you read Benedict's Lenten reflection of 2013 that I posted? Are you disagreeing with him? That for the individual secularized government makes living a God centered holy life difficult indeed? That Christ only in the private sector is not enough? Giving him lip service is not enough. In this God forsaken society, people, even those raised Christian find it impossible to not be influenced by these God forsaken laws. I think you may have been influenced if you're debating this. You're kidding me right? Hollywood is brainwashing, even cartoons are a bad influence. ABC's "family" programing geared towards preteen and young teens indoctrinating them, normalizing same sex relationships, one show was dad becoming mom. It's ridiculous. Public schools are normalizing this garbage as well. Rot in, rot out, you know this. How extremely difficult indeed is it to raise children in this secularism. So, yeah Christian marriage is difficult to be faithful even. Too many temptations given to us, too many God forsaken laws designed by the enemy to attack the individual. I have no idea what you are disagreeing with. It's simple really, we need to stop offending God in the public sector, He is already much to much offended. There is a better way. You have seen the beauty of Christian marriage. It has been called a fortaste of heaven. Yes, we should reject sin, but it is so much better to share the joy we have than it is to badmouthing everybody else. When people see how rich our lives are, how deeply satisfying the Christian marriage is, how could they not be inspired? Who would want to be Brice Jenner when they've seen how wonderful God's plan is?!
I agree. Here's what the Church says about it (added emphasis):What are you even talking about? We need to make both federal and state laws based on God's laws. It's very simple. Same sex marriage and abortion and divorce and what ever else are not moral but immoral. To when? What year? Throughout history, man has traded old evils for new. We've had Godless laws from the start. I asked you how we should write God's led into ours and how to enforce them. I get that you'd like to see the state not recognize gay marriage and abortion. I'd like that too.
When they talk about persecution they are also, in addition to, also as well mean attacks against the faith, truth, God's laws. The Church is persecuted in those ways. Abomination is a persecution against the Church and the laity. Christ Himself is persecuted as well as His mother by our individual sins as well as the world's sins and apostasy. Going secular, the way of the world is apostasizing and that is God being persecuted. When the Pope talks about persecution, he's not actually talking about armchair persecution that westerner "suffer". Nor is he talking about accepting transgender people as, well, people.
I agree. And part of the persecution foretold by Jesus is that his followers would be hated for his name's sake (Mk 13:13). So if someone who identifies as "Catholic" or "Christian" is loved by the heathen it's because he is one of them. When they talk about persecution they are also, in addition to, also as well mean attacks against the faith, truth, God's laws. The Church is persecuted in those ways. Abomination is a persecution against the Church and the laity. Armchair persecution, like I said. When they talk about persecution they are also, in addition to, also as well mean attacks against the faith, truth, God's laws.
