Jesus accepted and quoted OT prophecy in His teaching, and numerous popes have written about OT and NT prophecy as well.

Mike, help for unwanted, unplanned pregnancies comes to us on a state level as well as on a federal and there are programs that provide for the needs of both baby and mother here in LA. Children do get free health care and mothers are given free health care to deliver their child. LAchips and LAmoms. After the birth of the baby, if there is a medical problem with the mother, she keeps the coverage until its resolved. If she makes under 400$ income she keeps her Medicare, period until she earns a living and them Obama care takes that over. This is how it works in the state of LA. Since LA has one of the highest mortality rates of infants it expanded medical for pregnant women to even a high income, even if the woman is married and they have two incomes and even if you have insurance you can get this to pick up deductibles. If you are uninsured or under insured LA picks up the tab 100% for your care because LA wants a woman to have no excuse for not getting decent prenatal care. Wic provides nutrition for 2 years during pregnancy and after the birth of the child for both mother and child. Wic now gives produce, whole grain products, ect. If you chose not to breast feed your baby Wic will give you free baby formula. They also give fruit juices for the baby. They educate women on how to give proper nutrition to their baby. So if we are going to talk honesty, let's be honest. There's also free child care so a mother can work or go to school. We give free housing and there are programs to provided help for utilities. Of course there's the Snap card and now cell phones and internet are free thanks to our government making us pay for this program. So if you have babies, young children, even teens there is no reason to abort. You can live off the government very easily. So, please, let's not be dishonest about help for mother and child. It is so there if you are poor and have babies, young kids or teens. If you have a disabled child, you hit the jackpot there. And lets not leave out cash a person can get added onto their Snap benefits formally known as welfare.

Now the problem we have is Republicans, some of them wanting to cut some of these programs because of the vast abusers. Those that have babies just to stay on government programs, who, this is a way of life that is the only life they know. That is the heart of the issue that must be addressed and there is no party and no persons to address this. I don't see you wanting to solve this pathetic issue of an impoverish culture that depends on the government that leads them literally to no where. Poverty begetting poverty. Sangers solution was to make the poor the abort and give everybody B/C.

Now we have immigrants that receive all this because they have children. So the question is, what do we do because this is way to expensive, the country can not afford it. Right to care for people or wrong, we simply can not sustain this especially if more children are born into this culture or if more children are sent over here. We will go broke. If you open the checkbook and the money is not there, it's just not there. The Republicans want to cut, the Democrats want to tax and spend.

So really, its not the poor so much getting abortions. Its the middle class who get nothing from government and who can't have another mouth to feed. Or its folks who just have casual sex and get pregnant and want to just do away with the circumstance that resulted.

The point is we have created all these Trojan horses. No one wants to touch the real problems that we have that leads to mental heath issues and extreme violence.

In my state that idot governor (Republican) cut mental health for the poor and uninsured. Cut drug rehab and closed a public mental health hospital for those who need long term treatment. Those who are ill are on the streets, loose and the gang drug crime comes from the impoverished culture public entitlement programs created. There has to be a better way. A Socialist nation with out God front and center is not a better way.

Not at all. Christ's promises will come to pass, no doubt. Will they come today or in six million years? Heck if I know. I'm not the sort of person who decides what he believes and then looks for reasons to support my belief. That's rather backwards. I am a man, and men are upfront and reject cowardice and dishonesty. If I wanted to "deny biblically the things Christ said would happen" I would do so directly. Similarly, because I am not a coward, I will directly answer any question you present to me. I am willing to make statements and stand by them, I am willing to be tested, I am willing to be shown that I am wrong and I am willing to be corrected.



How do you interpret my repeated statements that there is real persecution against Christians happening and that the pro-life community needs to do more and that Christians need to really live their faith as evidence that I think everything is good in the world? There are bad things happening and there are good things happening.

That's the point. Life still goes on, will be going on up and until the end. Life going on does not mean these apostasy laws are workingn. It means we are hastening the end and like the bible says we will be living our lives up and until the end. The life will go on, good and the bad, will be living life when Christ comes.

I agree to a large extent. God should be front and center in our lives. I am not certain that we need to vote for political candidates that advocate for a state religion or anything like that. We have a lot of variety of beliefs in this melting pot, and I believe that we can work together to protect the less fortunate, to protect the American Dream for those willing to work for it, and to protect people's rights to worship as they choose. We need to do better, but all is not lost.

I'm not assuming, I'm observing. There exist, unfortunately, people who are too insecure to put their name on the line and take a clear stand. There are also people who let their fears prevent them from serving God as best they can. These people are cowards.



When you say "a simpleton can understand that, you appear to be doing exactly what you accuse me of. Christ was a lot of wonderful things, but He was not always flowery on His speech.



I partially reject that idea. Mother Theressa was quick to promote the good she did, that her mission could grow and more service to God could be done. I like the way Jimmy Carter appeals to people to join him in working for Habitat for Humanity. I like the way the Apostles and so many great Saints used examples of their successes to inspire us, and also plainly shared their failures...also to inspire us.

Mother Theresa was profoundly humble and that is what's sorely lacking in today's society. You have to have humility and others have to feel this virtue from those who want to promote oneself.
