My question is why are people doing this? I hate science has caught up with the evil desire of humanity. Just need prayers now. ( Article below & snippet)

Elon Musk unveils Tesla robot after warning AI will take over humanity

"
Tesla is building a humanoid robot “sometime next year” called the Tesla Bot, announced at the company’s AI Day event.

The robot will use the same artificial intelligence that the electric car company uses for its vehicles, will be approximately 173 centimetres tall (5ft 8in), weigh around 57kg, and be built from “lightweight materials” with a display somewhere on its body to show information."

Mr Musk says the robot is “intended to be friendly and navigate through a world built for humans” but will be built at a “mechanical level” so someone could “run away from it, and most likely overpower it.”

Tesla’s website says the robot is general purpose for jobs that are “unsafe, repetitive or boring”, such as going to a shop and picking up groceries. "Essentially, in the future, physical work will be a choice. If you want to do it, you can, but you won’t need to do it”, Mr Musk said.

Over the past few years, Mr Musk has repeatedly warned of the ramifications of artificial intelligence and robots.

The robots doing parkour actually wasn’t as effortless as it seemed. There were tons of bloopers. It took a lot longer than it seemed.

Robots doing parkour is cool but watching them fall is way more fun

Now for Elon…the robot thing really isn’t the scariest thing he has proposed. But he is probably on drugs because of Grimes. Grimes was on hard drugs in her past but usually drug culture does not consider marijuana or psychedelics as hard drugs.
He’s been recorded smoking marijuana with Joe Rogan.

Elon’s brain chip implant is more concerning. But Elon is likely going to become a liability to his company if he keeps up his behavior?
Boston Dynamics is more concerning. They work contracts for the military. But those robots are no where near being upright.

it’s okay.

Maybe add this to your constitution:

  • A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
  • A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
  • A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.

There's an entire genre of books and films that show how those laws are faulty, starting with a benevolent dictator ai taking away all freedoms to stop humans from coming to harm.

OK. Then add another ammendment:

"Benevolent dictators are not allowed to take away all freedoms to stop humans from coming to harm."

Problem solved.

Who gets to add these amendments? Benevolent dictators like the heroic Chairman Mao as the Chinese education system teaches?

There are a few things left to iron out. Hmmmn.. seems to be a pun in what I just wrote. It's unintended but I find it humorous anyhow. ^_^

Don’t overthink it: Elon Musk’s Tesla Bot is a joke

From the article:
Do you believe him? Should you believe him? I won’t answer that for you, but I want to restate the facts. Elon Musk got up on stage last night and promised that Tesla, a company whose driver assist software is unable to reliably avoid parked ambulances, would soon build a fully functioning humanoid robot. Musk said that the machine would be able to follow human instructions intuitively, responding correctly to commands like “please go to a store and get me the following groceries.” He outlined these scenarios and then said: “Yeah, I think we can do that.” This was minutes after he’d ushered away the best demo of the Tesla Bot available: a dancer in a spandex suit. If nothing else, you have to admire the chutzpah.
