Humans haven’t been here every time it changed through, we might end up making the planet uninhabitable for us.

Probably won't be that bad, but definitely could narrow the living area. Seen some maps that would make much of the current growing area in the US not usable. The trouble will be if US loses a ton of growing crops while say Canada gains them and other such places.
