There are billions of Christians in the world today. If this ancient, all-powerful conspiracy existed and had even an iota of competence, they would have never let it get that far. They would have produced a fake body of Christ only a few decades after His death. They would have never let Emperor Constantine the Great legalize Christianity and make it Rome's state religion. They would have never let the church gain as much power and influence as it did. Even the name 'Jesus Christ' would be nothing more than an obscure historical footnote.

It sounds like you need to find some better friends. By the way, you likely lead more people away from Christ than the people that you are complaining about. Keeping an open mind and learning why you are wrong is a start. Making false claims about others only harms your beliefs. There is no vast conspiracy. Any astronomer here who has observed on of the geostationaries? At 40,000+ km, they are a little too far away to be visible with the naked eye, and I have no idea what kind of telescope you would need to see them.

I'm not an astronomer and have not observed a geostationary satellite (I'm still in the process of building my first telescope), but I have listened to transmissions from the ISS on a small hand-held amateur radio based on its predicted orbit. I'd like to know how that could work on a flat Earth.

Thank you for confirming my earlier post. The Bible only refers to a vague "all scripture". There is no way to really know what the writer considered "scripture". At that time it would almost certainly exclude the New Testament. That verse can only refer to older "scripture" and one does not even know if or what books of the Old Testament would be counted as "scripture". The Jewish Torah is not identical to the Old Testament.

If the idea that the earth is round is truly a Satanic lie, I don't see how it's effective at tearing people away from Christ. It doesn't change God's creative power, His love for us, or Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection. As previously stated, scientific discovery about earth, the universe, space, etc. often strengthen belief in God as sovereign Creator as opposed to weakening it. If a round earth is the devil's deception, it's far from his best work.

As one of Herman Wouk's characters says in The Winds of War, it was Galileo who cut God's throat. Of course it changes everything, gnostic kabbalistic Babylonian cosmology is a giant obstacle that keeps many ppl from coming to Christ, and forces Christians into an accommodationist position, whereby they need to deny the plain sense of scripture and instead make excuses and ad hoc workarounds. And while you're there, why not ask the pilot if he has to dip the nose of the plane regularly to follow the curve. And learn about how a gyroscope works.

Or take a flight across the Great Lakes with this engineer and his infrared high zoom camera. He'll show you how impossi-ball it is.

Difference between science and myth is, that science is observable. Myth is not.

For example, there is no biblical leviathan in a see. Its a myth.

It depends where one looks out of a window on a plane. Most are too small to see the curve. If one has a straight edge the curve can be seen at times.

There are other better tests that tell us that we live on a globe. Of course some of them require at least some proficiency in mathematics to understand. For some reason Flat Earthers appear to be deficient in mathematical skills.
