Or, perhaps, Trump was demonstrably wrong with his assertion and news outlets were correctly reporting that he was wrong.We all know about the last of those situations, but I was thinking that the rest of those instances called for photo IDs, too.
However, when I Googled the question to be sure, I couldn't find the answers, although I found entries for what looked like every media outlet in the country reporting, in the first line, that Trump "wrongly" or "falsely" said that people have to present ID when they buy at the grocery store--even with the several sources normally considered to be conservative. We don't seem to have newspapers anymore; we just have editorialists.
