Just wanted to make a point that if globalists were half as respectful and considerate as you in answering questions flat-Earthers have for them, I might even consider reconverting back to globalism. I wouldn't do it, of course, because it's just plain wrong, but I'd consider it.

Regardless of the fact that such a debate should be based on facts, evidence and rational conclusions... what ratio of "respect" from both sides would you need to decide for one?

If there is one "respectful" Flat Earther, and 99 "Demonspawn NASA shill Globe-Nazi" shouting ones.... does that make Flat Earth wrong or inacceptible for you?

If there is one "respectful" Globe Earther and 99 "You're dumb" shouting ones... would you listen to the one respectful Glober?

And going back to the point of "being respectful". Do you think that ignoring polite requests for evidence, or ignoring rational rebuttals of your sources... as SeventyOne continues to do... as "respectful"? I don't.

Fact is that the idea of a "Flat Earth" is generally inconsistent, and the people who promote it and are cited as "experts" to use for evidence continue to demonstrate that they don't understand even the most fundamental concepts of the field: basic geometry and maths, or physics.

There's the famous "Jeranism"... who went on a lengthy explanation for a completely new calculation of the curvature of a sphere... and got it completely wrong. There's the famous "Nathan Oakly", who didn't understand how to convert meters to kilometers. There "Anthony Riley", who demonstrated his ignorance of simple triangle maths. There's "Phuket Word", who constantly and after repeated corrections and practical demonstrations continues to promote his completely baseless version of "perspective".
There's a multitude of people - including our SeventyOne here - who do not understand how triangulation works. There are tons of people who - after continued explanations, corrections and demonstrations, continue to tout nonsensical "problems" with the Globe model... from plane routes to Kepler's Laws. There are tons of people who deny the existence of gravity, without being able to make their own pet version work.

But we are told that there are good valid sources for the Flat Earth out there, using correct maths and physics. WHERE ARE THEY?

Yes, I can accept that people "participated in experiments" and their result convinced them the Earth is flat.
But considering the basic ignorance that so many of these Flat Earthers demonstrate... is it not possible, even likely, that they a) botched their experiments and b) misinterpreted the results?

Except for the fact that it doesn't explain so many things, that it requires appeals to conspiracy theory, that it requires things that are impossible according to the laws of physics, etc. So yeah, apart from all that, it hasn't been debunked.

It's not the science itself that lies. It's the incorrect conclusions that people claim to be 'science' that are the lies. A perfect example is evolution. Billions of people deceived over multiple generations. Why do billions of evolutionists lie? Because they just simply don't know any better.

I was referring to our actual subject of discussion, but since you brought it up, I'll remind you that all these things were created upon and function within a flat earth.

Meaning nothing other than we can also be a gullible lot in certain areas.

I have said that I am glad if the question of the earth's shape has motivated some to recognition in God as a Creator. But such does not ultimately rely upon one's beliefs about the shape of the earth.
