You are a blessing sister, thank you.
Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
do not trust your own cleverness.
5 Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone,
for they will surely sprout wings
and fly off to the sky like an eagle. Prov. 23:4-5
Reminds me of:
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. Matthew 6:20
The things of this world are temporary, "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Cor. 4:18
verses4,5,They are akin to being on dat ol' hamster wheel for me.
They ARE temporary, and they disappear like a mist. And what have we been runnin' around on day hamster wheel for?

Thank God for His wisdom.
verses4,5,
and 6,7,8,
6 Don’t eat with people who are stingy;
don’t desire their delicacies.
7 They are always thinking about how much it costs.a]">[a]
“Eat and drink,” they say, but they don’t mean it.
8 You will throw up what little you’ve eaten,
and your compliments will be wasted.
Very very wise words. Honoring our parents, who brought us into the world break strongholds and generational curses. God HONORS those who honor their mothers and fathers.
Amen.
I wonder what this dear mother is thinking about?

12 Apply your heart to instruction,
And your ears to words of knowledge.
...yes, this is deep, God is so good...Proverbs 23:
This is deep. God is continually "cultivating" our hearts, tending the "seed" He planted there. His aim is that those seeds bear "fruit", as we become what fills our hearts, and minds, and souls.
He is GOOD. He KNOWS what we would become if He didn't.
It's a very WISE thing to humble ourselves and be thankful for the absolute miraculous transformation that He plants, cultivates, and grows from the ashes of what we were.
...yes, this is deep, God is so good...
Proverbs 23:
This is precious, how God provides for us. It reminds me of God's promise to provide for the Godly head of the household AND their children in such a practical and concrete and profound way.
This verse comes to mind:
"I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." ~Psalm 37:25
