Taking a totally unrelated passage and trying to shoehorn it into another place doesn't work. He told the disciples to whom he was speaking with that THEY needed to run into the hills. And that they needed to do this when they saw the armies surrounding the city.
Luke 21
20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written.
This is not the judgement day. It is the day of the destruction of Israel as was prophesied many times by the prophets.
32 “Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
"All these things" includes:
27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.
It might give the impression of his second coming except for one thing. These people are to stand tall after having fled Judea and Jerusalem. Not because they're about to go to heaven, but because the people who will have been persecuting them are getting their just rewards for rejecting Christ and his prophets.
Now, if you don't accept any of this, do you assert that some of the apostles are still alive and waiting to see what Jesus told them to watch out for?
