About 8 months ago, I picked up a CZ455 Canadian Edition in .17 HMR; it shot so well that I felt I might be able to improve my open sight competition suiting with a better rifle; so I bought a lightly used CZ455 Military trainer (25 1/2" barrel and tangent sight); I was right, I have been in the money on all of our competitive shoots since I bought it. That got me thinking that a good rifle might help my scope class shooting as well so I started looking for another CZ; out of the blue, my Pastor says, I am looking for a good .22 rifle. To make a long story short, I found a couple of 452 CZ Lux rifles; great condition, great price; one in birch, the other in walnut; 24" with tangent sights. My pastor was overjoyed! The birch one was a little less money, and I gave him the choice; he is getting the birch one; I'm getting the walnut one!

I'll post pictures when they arrive!

Interesting, greetings from the Czech republic ;-)

If you are interested in automatic rifles, too, CZ BREN is something what is making its name, recently:

    Excellent quality rifles!

The name "Bren" has a long and respected history with Canada and England's military. The original "Bren Gun" was a light machine gun (if you can call .303 light LOL) and was built as a joint effort between the arms factory in Brno and the British manufacturer Enfield hence Bren. Below is the Mk II and a "Bren Gun Carrier":

Me; I'm very partial to the CZ pattern Pistols; the CZ75 and 85.

While I don't know specifically, as there are exceptions; I will try...

Firearm is a stand alone design; not derived from or easily converted into a full automatic. (this is why the AR15 is restricted; it is based on a design that could fire full auto. OA length would be above minimum. Why the AK47 is prohibited and the AR is not is beyond me.

The AR10 and AR180 are non restricted as well.

Most .32 and .22 short pistols are prohibited. Any pistol with a barrel length shorter than 4 1/8" is prohibited.

Sawed off mares-leg rifles and shotguns are non prohibited (if they are built that way at the factory) really short sawed off shotguns from the factory are restricted.

    Not restricted in Canada:

There is one distinct driving factor behind the restrictions of specific firearms and that is media driven socialistic paranoia. The socialists mind cannot fathom free thinkers as we are not conformists. If we do not conform we are a threat because we cannot be molded, therefore we must be eliminated.

Yes, and fear mongering on the part of certain political orientations to rally voters behind a made up cause to ensure re-election and a fat pension after 5 years that is about 4 x more than I make in a year.
