Dont call me retarted k.and why do you think the world has so many problems because they dont live by gods word (the bible)

I thought Christ was the Word of God. Doesn't anyone read the Gospel of John anymore?

Ok i wasnt trying to turn people away from god if anyone took it meanly im sorry

Well, you've shown absolutely no knowledge of what the theory of evolution is, absolutely no willingness to learn about it, and absolutely no humility to learn from people more experienced than yourself.

"Taking things meanly" is the least of your worries.

The world wouldn't be much different if tomorrow we forgot all about the bible, if you consider that 5 of the worlds 6 billion people get on fine everyday without it! And furthermore, living standards and mortality rates have climbed over the last thousand years as the influence of the church waned-only science really helps make quality of life better in the long run.

I can only hope you'll at least try thinking for yourself sometime in the future.

Mistake #1: Evolution doesn't say how we were "created." Evolution is the scientific theory which explains the diversity of life on Earth.

Evolution presupposes the existence of life. How that life got here is another theory altogether.

now how does evolution say we got here not to this present day but how does it say we came to be does it say we just poofed here

Mistakes 2-???: I can't even figure out your question though this horrid sentence structure. Could you please try again, with punctuation this time?

Dr. Hovind, white courtesy phone. Calling Dr. Hovind.

With all due respect, please learn to use some punctuation and sentence structure. You're not quite yet Faulkner.

I've read the whole thing. Wasn't any different from a half dozen other creation myths I've read/skimmed. I actually like the Epic of Gilgamesh the best. Check it out sometime. It bears a striking reseblance to a certain elderly testament.

At the most basic level there isn't anything to think about when it comes to "your beleifs". If you say an invisible man in the sky who can do anything is actively interfering with the world without leaving any trace of his existence, then why bother arguing about anything?

Your beliefs are irrelevent. You've asked a lot of questions which display ZERO knowledge of what evolution is. if you had bothered to lurk a while in the forum and read a bit before posting, you might have saved yourself a world of embarassment.

And yes, we've all read Genesis. It's a very poetic allegorical fable.

No, YOU are the one being ignorant. You come into a science forum and start to talk about evolution, a subject about which you know nothing. That is the definition of ignorant. On the other hand, whatever the biblical knowledge of anyone else in this thread, we didn't start a thread to discuss it and then display zero knowledge about it. You did.

He's also just a kid. Lambasting him for being naive is not going to accomplish anything. Maybe if someone actually tried to educate him and stopped making him feel stupid, then he might be inclined to wilfully learn something new from us.   (pardon my excessive use of emoticons)

I agree, but he's started this himself. He also has shown a bit of arrogance, inho, in that he's stated outright he refuses to consider anything outside of the Bible. Maybe a verbal lashing on the Internet will help him realize the error of his ways. Then again, maybe not.:sigh:

Or maybe it'll galvanize his persecution complex. The last thing we need is another Creationist martyr: "Jesus said you'd hate me, so I must be right."
