I have stated in the past that your “CSA” does not show Christ to a sinful and fallen world. I still stand by this statement. However this thread seems to have taken a bent toward capital punishment in your new “CSA”. As far as the death penalty goes if you are to follow the scripture than all the following crimes deserve the death penalty.

Premeditated murder (Exodus 21:12-14, 22-23; Leviticus 24:17; Numbers 35:16-21)
Kidnapping (Exodus 21:16; Deuteronomy 24:7)
Striking or cursing ones parents (Exodus 21:15, 17; Leviticus 20:9
Rebelliousness (Deuteronomy 17:12 Deuteronomy 21:18-21
Sacrificing to false gods (Exodus 22:20).
Violating the Sabbath (Exodus 35:2; Numbers 15:32-36).
Blasphemy, or cursing God, (Leviticus 24:10-16, 23).
The false prophet, (Deuteronomy 13:1-11), (Deuteronomy 13:12-18).
Human sacrifices (Leviticus 20:2).
Divination, or the dabbling in the magical arts (Exodus 22:18; Leviticus 19:26, 31; 20:27; Deuteronomy 18:9-14).
Adultery (Leviticus 20:10-21; Deuteronomy 22:22
Bestiality, (Exodus 22:19; Leviticus 20:15-16).
Incest (Leviticus 18:6-17; 20:11-12, 14).
Homosexuality (Leviticus 18:22; 20:13).
Premarital sex (Leviticus 21:9; Deuteronomy 22:20-21).
Rape (Deuteronomy 22:25-27).

I many have missed some but that is what I could find.
I do not disagree with some of these however the Bible also clearly states that to be condemned to death it requires 2 to 3 witnesses to the crime and if the witness is lying than that witness is to get the punishment that the defendant would have gotten.

[bible]
Deuteronomy 17:6 “On the evidence of two witnesses or three witnesses, he who is to die shall be put to death; he shall not be put to death on the evidence of one witness. 7 “The hand of the witnesses shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.
Deuteronomy 19:15 “A single witness shall not rise up against a man on account of any iniquity or any sin which he has committed; on the evidence of two or three witnesses a matter shall be confirmed. 16“If a malicious witness rises up against a man to accuse him of wrongdoing, 17 then both the men who have the dispute shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges who will be in office in those days.18 “The judges shall investigate thoroughly, and if the witness is a false witness and he has accused his brother falsely.19 then you shall do to him just as he had intended to do to his brother. Thus you shall purge the evil from among you. 20 “The rest will hear and be afraid, and will never again do such an evil thing among you.21 “Thus you shall not show pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
[/bible]

Putting people to death based upon 1 person or upon “scientific” evidence I feel is wrong and unscriptural. Also how many people would be willing to lie under oath if they knew that they could be put to death for that lie?

All I really see in your new CSA is a place superficial “Christians” can go and hide from the rest of the world. Where is being the salt and light to the world? Where is the JOY and freedom of GRACE? Jesus set us free from the bondage of sin we can never live up to salvation. That is why he chose to pay the price for us so we didn’t have to pay that price.
The new CSA would be a mockery of all things Christ stood for and died for. We are all sinners condemned to death yet Jesus has given us a pardon. We should do the same to our fellow man.
Yes I agree that if you do the crime you do the time but can we also not show grace to those who need it and want it and deserve it?

Suom, I have to admit that out of all the people here on this board, you have been the biggest disappointment of all. :sigh:

I used to look forward to reading your posts. I used to think that you had a fairly level head about you. You used to think things through before you posted: Now...?

I know you disdain me. I know that my very presence on this earth angers you. I know that you wish that GOD would take me off the earth. I get it.

But man, it just surprises me that's all. You used to be cool, now you just are going into some kind of Stalinist rants about vomiting blood, and demons....

I don't know what happened; but it aint good. You lost your cool bro, and that saddens me.

You know that I don't care 1 iota what the heathen think about me. You know that. However, when I see a brother in the Lord going off on me like you; it makes me sad. You are flying off the handle for a doctrine like Capital Punishment. It's ....

Oh well, I can't please all the people all the time. But I would advise you to be careful about what you call me. Only because I am a true born again believer in Messiah Yeshua. I don't mind you calling me dull/ slow/ dim witted, ect.. However, for your sake be careful with the prince of darkness references. The LORD does not want His servants lobing bombs like that at each other. Especially over a side doctrine like Capital Punishment.

This is not the Nature of GOD. Or the holy Trinity. Or the Divinity of Christ. This is only a political type of doctrine. It has NO eternal spiritual significance. It has nothing to do with Salvation. Nothing what so ever.

For you sake and mine, maybe you should just lay off this thread. If it causes you that much heart burn, just lay off it brother (and YES I called you brother. I believe that you are a Christian and therefore the title of brother. We are not friends; you made that clear. But you are my brother in the Lord. LIKE IT OR NOT.).

Suomipoika,

May the LORD bless thee, and keep thee,

The LORD make His face to shine upon thee. And be gracious unto thee.

The LORD lift up, His countenance upon thee, and grant thee peace.

In His love,

Shield Of Faith.

Yeah, whatever.. but wait 'till another "shieldOfaith" comes your way and points out to you from the Levitical death penalty laws how some of the people close to you, maybe members of your very own family, people who have not even broken the laws of the United States, should have been put to death in their "nations" instead of being transformed thorough the living Gospel of Jesus Christ. You can't have it both ways! You can't order your state to execute the homosexual and at the same time follow Paul's example and welcome the regenerate sinner who used to sleep with another man as a member of the Living body of Christ!

...for God's sake, you even said at one point that rebellious children deserve to be put to death!!! (I can't even believe I'm actually 'talking' with someone who claims to belive in this sort of "Christianity"....)

There's still one thing you are absolutely wrong about. I don't wish anyone to "take you off" this earth. I don't wish anyone to be "taken off" this earth by the means of the death penalty. That is exactly what the early Church fathers of the first 3 centuries believed and taught. But it angers me deeply that the faith that I profess is being twisted into a lie that advocates an outright genocide of some groups of the people who should be the primary target of the Gospel, the kind of sinners that Jesus 'hung out' with when here on earth, whose sins He died for, and whom Paul accepted as members of the Church once they'd welcomed Christ as their Savior.

It is my wish that a preacher of the dead letter, or should I say, "killing letter", turns and reads his New Testaent with the illumination of the spirit of the Gospel.

watch out. I think you can be reported for calling someone insane.

lol

even if they REALLY are insane, and you are pointing out a FACT, it is still a flame.

lol

sad, sad, disturbing. Issues, issues, issues.

Well, I remember someone once calling him "A sick false prophet."... actually i think that might have been you?

He doesn't seem to report people though, at least not that I've seen. And after all, he once posted in another Thread, "I don't care 1 iota what the heathen think about me."

and its funny how the admins think the words "heathen" and "insane" are offensive and flammatory.

What's funny is how they don't think SoF himself is offensive and flammatory.

Where is the line between expressing your beliefs, and just being rude?

when I express my beliefs I am being rude! lol

thats what beliefs are! rude! because it tugs at our heart; whether or not we believe we actually have a purpose on earth, or if we're all just little parasitic bugs living on a big blue and green rock floating in space. Its this schism between what we want to believe, and what we almost should believe to the point it tears us apart as human beings and as one human race, as one human culture, keeping us afraid of each other, and of ourselves.

people wana be gods, or they wanna be closer to God, which seems to be tearing us apart from each other as people.

which, is think God knows doesn't bring us closer to Him, but it just brings us closer to the earth that gave us these ideas.

The Prophet of Doom? LOL. You're actually a funny person. :-D

The Law Givva is funny too.

I got the nick-name 'the Prophet of Doom' in Bible college. I was always preaching from the minor prophets. Then we had a bake day, where everyone brought in something they baked. I brought in my Double Doom cookies! Everyone laughed and ate them all up. They were awesome! I put twice as much of chocolate chips than what the recipe called for!

Everyone just called me the Prophet of Doom after that. The name stuck and I was so named for the rest of my Bible college days.

My fav minor prophet book is Amos!!! Awesome.

Do you believe that the Minor Prophetst were speaking only to the people in that day, and are an example for us today? Or do you believe that the events spoken therein have not, by and large, yet been fulfilled?

Very good observation.

I believe both. Some obviously are purely historical and some have yet to be fulfilled.

If there were ever a time to teach and preach from the minor prophets; it is now!!!

America seriously needs to repent!!!!!!! :preach:

SOLA GRATIA.
