It means this is all over now and this thread should not go to part 3. However, I think there is a Shield's law of some kind that governs the absurd, inflated lengths to which your threads will go on. So let it be written, so let it be done in the C.S.A........

So if the government can legally kill someone and have it not be murder, then the mass killings in the twentieth century by governments are right and not mass murder?

I think you missed a step in your logic there SoF.

What does this mean? I don't understand this.

Found this:
You have seen this peculiar term online, with expressions like "I got pwned!". Now, you hear it on the bus and in public as people speak about their personal lives. So what exactly does "pwned" mean? And is that the same a "pwnage"?
A. It can be pronounced as "owned" or as "poned", with both pronunciations being correct. In some cases, you will even hear it pronounced as "pawned". "Pwned" means "to be controlled against your will", or "to be defeated by a superior power". You might also hear the expression, "pwnage", which is the noun version of "being pwned".

This "pwn" expression originated in the 1980's from the word "owned". It was used to describe when a hacker would take remote control of a server or another computer. With today's MMO games (massive multiplayer online games), the term "pwned" has now became a way to gloat in one's victory over another player. Conversely, pwned is an expressive way to say that you yourself have been defeated by another player.

No. That is your belief on government. And governments were not a creation of God, but of man, to institute order.

[FONT=Arial, Geneva, Helvetica]1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience' sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God's ministers attending continually to this very thing. --Romans 13

You are 100% wrong. I am 100% correct. God created governments to protect us from Charles Manson...

SOLA GRATIA.

Until someone like Charles Manson gets into power. Is that government still blessed by God?

Romans 13 says I'm 100% right!!!

Romans 13 also says abortion, homosexuality, and pornography are ok by God: Governments have God's authority on Earth, those same governments say the above items are legal -- you do the math.

the length of these threads is a testimony to the immense entertainment value that a twisted vision brings to all of us. it is very hard not to stare at a train wreck, and sof is a human version of this. after trying desperately as the body of Christ to show him how horribly off track his personal train of faith has gone, all that is left is to stare at it in amazement and gawk. when arguments become as infantile as "You are 100% wrong. I am 100% correct.", then you know the person delivering that message is intellectually bankrupt.

the humane thing to do when you see a dog in the condition of these arguments is to put it to sleep, but we keep feeding this troll and take his bait. we should simply stop responding to this idiocy, but we don't. it is like a cliff hanging soap opera. the quality is horrible, the story line is completely un-credible, but you just want to find out what happens tomorrow! how much more incredulous can it get? and then you find out.

like many who go off the rails, sof has taken things he has read and either added to them or missed an important element of them. when he decided that col. kurtz from "apocalypse now" was going to be his hero and model, he failed to notice that kurtz had gone insane and was hoping that someone would come and kill him and put him out of his misery. kurtz embraced all that was horrible in pursuing a goal. he felt that the one that was immune to horror was the one that would in the end be the victor. sof has embraced this philosophy.

he simply didn't notice that Jesus rejected this idea completely and with extreme prejudice. He replaced it with a love that was undeserved, unearned, and unrequited.

poor sof. pray for him. and then let this sad rant die.

(but i, too, will probably check later to see what craziness this thread has risen to. is there any cure for any of us but Jesus?)

Romans 13 says I'm 100% right!!!
Way to argue your point...

Honestly, why don't you answer the points put forward. By your reckoning, Pol Pot was in his right. So was Hitler, Stalin, Mao... Any government leader. No matter how crazy.

Even the Devil can quote Scripture.
Are you going to tell me that, on the basis of that Scripture, I should not resist the authority of governments, good and bad, because in doing so I would be resisting the ordinance of God? So even if the government were tyrannical and full of corruption, I should not resist authority, because governments are supposedly ordained authority from God? Should I therefore be civilly obedient unto death and remain silent to injustices perpetuated by the state? By such logic, yes, for any civil disobedience would be viewed as resisting the ordinance of God.
Government was not an invention of God, but an invention of man to institute order among society. And no Scripture that you present is going to change that.

you said know your roll.

A roll is a kind of dinner bread.

"Role", which you meant to say, is different.

Sof, youre arguments cannot be taken seriously if you do not know how to spell "role" and "roll", which only points that you may not be a highly educated indivdual, which tells people you aren't worth listening to, really.

Do you think God thinks its okay to mispell very simple four-letter words?
