I don't like the mini pill, I looked up how it works on the net and this is part of what it says:
Quote:
The lining of the uterus is also affected in a way that prevents fertilized eggs from implanting into the wall of the uterus.
To me this is still killing a baby, because my actions (taking the pill) are causing the fertilized egg (my baby) to die.
Well I just thought I would share this, I was shocked when I found out that the mini pill still allowed conception to occur.
Why do you use the term "mini pill?" We generally just say, "the pill." This refers to oral contraceptives that work through the intake of estrogen. There are many brands, and aside from strength of the dosage they are virtually the same.
Some girls take the pill for various reasons, including to alleviate painful menstrual cycles, resolution of hormone-induced acne, elimination of migraines/headaches, and, of course, to prevent pregnancy.
It is only this last use that concerns us morally. Any use at all of the pill should cause some concern for long-term effects, since it has been one of the most dangerous medications that remains in popular usage. However, this last use, for pregnancy prevention, is problematic.
Evidence points to the reality that eggs are not only being fertilized while women are on the pill, but then they are expelled from the body. This should concern all of us.
