Hi, not on the pill, but if that's the case, your last para, then I think that would be common knowledge, and many Christians take birth control and it would be made common knowledge.
So, what I'm saying is I don't know about your evidence.

Not that uncommon, actually. Many health care professionals are well aware that this is a possibility, that an egg is fertilized and later expelled. In fact, this is included in the description of the effectiveness of the pill!
I hope someone posts some excellent references to this. I personally worked in the health care industry for nearly two years (that of the US). I had many opportunities to talk to professionals, including one pharmacist who was also a pastor (two jobs). Both Christian and non-Christian acknowledge that this is a primary method of preventing birth (hardening of the lining of the uterus that prevents implantation of the fertilized egg).
How often this happens is impossible to tell, but that it does happen is unquestionable; it would be unrealistic to expect that it never happens.
