Just wanted to let people know about an upcoming event in Sydney.
On Tuesday the 30th August, more than 300 of the worlds top CEOs and politicans will be meeting at the Opera House for the Forbes Global CEO Conference. This conference will benefit the rich and powerful at the expense of the world's people and environment, representing how the world has deviated from the loving community Christ calls us to be. In response to this, Christians Against Greed, an inter-denominational Christian group inspired by similar movements, such as 'Jubilee 2000' and 'Make Poverty History', will be taking part in the wider 30A protests of the Forbes conference. This is being done in order to public confess the biblical and Christian concern for social justice and the environment, and will also incorporate a public prayer vigil.

Edit: btw so far there are people involved from the following churches and organisations- Sydney and Newcastle Anglicans, Uniting Church, Hillsong, Baptists, Salvation Army, the Jesus Christians, AFES and Christian Students Uniting and hopefully soon some Catholics and Adventists very shortly!
