Working on kids psyche while they still have an immature sense of judgement and bringing them irreversible consequences that they can't even fathom yet. It encouraged kids to seek out medicalization which provides permanent harmful effects.
Follow the money. Who benefits by pushing transgender affirmation on our children? Answer: unethical shrinks and plastic surgeons.

The per-episode payer costs of gender-affirming surgeries ranged from $6,927 for orchiectomy to $45,080 for vaginoplasty and $63,432 for phalloplasty (Table 2.3). As vaginoplasty and phalloplasty were frequently multi-episode procedures, the total average cost of these procedures per person was $53,645 and $133,911, respectively. Utilization and Costs of Gender-Affirming Care in a Commercially Insured Transgender Population

In order to increase the revenue stream, practitioners sought to establish "transgender feelings" as a treatable disease. Thus, the recent DSM revisions and the invention of the phrase "gender assignment". With established diagnoses and treatments, the insurance companies were compelled to provide coverage. Voila, we now have a substantial revenue stream for both practitioners and hospitals.

As I read the literature, the diagnosis of GD does not require a single objective test, only the patients subjective input. How many invasive surgeries are performed without a single objective lab test or imaging procedure that supports the diagnosis?

Interesting. How does that tie in to the overall conspiracy?

Oh yes the gender clinics and drug companies make a LOT of money off of this. I think much of this start d with good intentions. Wanting to help people with their mental health issues. But it has grown far beyond that now. Kids out on the trans train based upon unethical transgender activists masquerading as groups with scientific research and guidelines. When the explosion occurred suddenly the more ethical people start d asking questions and started looking at this so called research and therapies. They realized there was a real problem. Kids were bearing the brunt of this craziness in numbers never seen before. Now we know better.

And patients drive the diagnosis not the therapist. The therapists job was not to question or discover other issues, but to affirm that indeed the person IS trans.

But it still does not explain how a transgender person is a threat to Christianity.

Did you read the conclusion of the article:

In 2019, almost 10,000 people were identified as transgender in this database, representing 0.04 percent of people with commercial coverage in OLDW. In the same year, 65 percent of people identified as transgender were receiving gender-affirming hormone therapy, and 8 percent had some gender-affirming surgical procedure. The annual cost of providing gender-affirming care for this population was $1,776 per person, or $0.06 per member per month. The findings of this study indicate that the impact of gender-affirming care on payer budgets has remained nominal even as national trends in coverage policies have made this care more accessible to transgender people. (emphasis mine)

That data is 5 years old, and costs are likely higher now. But that's a diversion. In an earlier post (#208) I described the diagnostic and therapeutic protocols my institution follows in cases of gender dysphoria. It's quite extensive and can take up to a year before surgery is done. This is as it should be. It's clearly substandard--and dangerous--malpractice if some providers are rushing into surgery without properly evaluating each patient's needs. But that's an issue for state medical boards. And I still don't see how transgender care is in any way a threat to religious belief, or to modern society in general.

Yes. In your research did you read this article?

With the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine-learning technologies, expectations are rising for more inventive, faster, and less expensive therapeutic development. A data-driven approach could be beneficial to the manufacturing, supply chain, and healthcare ecosystem at large. As a result of increased technology use and data sharing, as well as increased willingness to use prescription and treatment tools, attitudes and behaviors of consumers are changing. This thread is closed for review. I see a lot of flaming going on. Also, the Statement of Purpose for this forum includes.

Homosexuality, Same-Sex Marriage, Bisexuality and Transgenderism/Transexualism: Discussion of these topics must comply with the sitewide rule barring the promotion of homosexuality, same-sex marriage, bisexuality, and transgenderism/transexualism. Discussion and debate should only be directed toward political, legal, historical and civil rights issues, and should not be directed toward the morality of homosexuality, same-sex marriage, bisexuality or transgenderism/transexualism.

EDIT to add: This thread will be staying closed. There are too many rule violations to clean up.
