CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That is good news that you will be able to have the surgery soon, and your health taken care of. Glad that your family members will be able to look after you in the hospital to make sure your health needs are adequate during your stay, and during your recovery period after the surgery. Your family can make sure that you have the correct medical treatment and care. Praying that your surgery and recovery will be successful, and for a quick recovery back to normal health.

made Door County Christmas coffee this afternoon and did wash while the Packers were playing in the background....

It was a sad day yesterday, being the second anniversary, but I remind myself of the promise of heaven that the Lord has given us. I read the last 2 chapters of Revelation. chapter 21. Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth...
When my son died, my Pastor at Church recommended C S Lewis, 'A Grief Observed', and that helped me as the book explained how he coped with the loss of his wife. He was a Christian and could explain from a Christian's perspective.
I pray for you that you will feel God's presence with you, the everlasting arms of the Lord.
