CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We have snow and ice here in Central Oklahoma. It's currently 18F, and it's supposed to get down to 7F tonight. I give thanks that our heater works well. Stay warm.

there have been stories in the news about people freezing to death both outside and inside their homes in the usa!
Just for fun.....mcdonalds is having a buy one get one special, where the second one is only the price of the current weather.
Late last night, I got another sandwich for a friend, and it was only 9 cents because it was only 9 degrees!

I have 'A DATE'
I have been 'invited', to participate in a day surgery
~during the first week, of February (this-year ? yes ! )
I have, a letter to my GP, from the A&E Dept dated: February 2016
Informing, my doctor, that my Left groin, 'is needful, of-attention'
I won't 'count my chickens', the eggs, haven't hatched YET
Miranda (my youngest daughter) has recently been on the phone with
SSAFA, The British Legion, and my doctor's receptionist and, her secretary
demanding to know, WHY ?
I, have been allowed to 'drop, between the cracks'
(no check-backs / follow-up, to my various, tests / investigations)
SSAFA phoned to gain my permission
to 'come-along and sort me out' sic ~get me 'sorted'
[Soldiers, Sailors, Airmens Families Association]
Next day, the postman brings, my procedure-date
It is NOT ~beyond the realms of possibility, to imagine
that her phone calls made such a commotion, that my 'invite'
just (simply) FLEW...... into, their mailbox, and, within-minutes
of her hanging-up
The hospital that I am booked-into
has been slammed in the media (very recently) for the unexplained
recent deaths of, a 'bunch of oldies patients' [elderly]
For reasons
that include, it was suggested
neglect and wrong medicines prescribed and administered
