Ethnog doesnt seem to mind helping with picking out pics for the awards instead of tallying votes.

If it sounded as if I've complained, I'm sorry for the confusion. It is hard but I enjoy doing it for everyone and love the outcome on ceremony night!

I'm not sure where you get that I become possessive. I politely decline help in some areas.

I do not see where she is happy with just picking out pictures. This is the second time she's asked to help with counting. Don't get me started on explaining the possessive thing though, I really am not in the mood for a warning today.

Hey Jennie, do you have the lists of categories from all the award years? We take some off or add new ones each time so it might be fun if you could post all the past options to see if maybe we should resurrect an old one.

I do remember offers in previous awards, but I digress) and then when someone does... you tell them thanks but no thanks.

And if we could somehow have enough threads where everything is voted on and everyone who is up for contention was named in the poll for that thread(And not have them get lost in the shuffle). Then there would be no need for tallying, however it would not be practical.

I'm not sure when I've said no one has offered to help me? When have I said that? Lots of people have offered to help me each time. Which Im grateful for!

Since I'm the one who started the awards I feel like I should be the one able to say what I want help in and what I can do myself. Theres only two things to be done in the awards, tallying votes and making the awards. I let y'all have a say in the awards and what they should look like and I tally the votes. Im not sure why it seems to be a big deal all of a sudden.

Lots? All I remember from the last round was that Mydnyte helped you. And being your bf... its nice and all that he did but it makes it a very exclusive thing for you two. If others are helping, why have they not gotten credit for it?

The big deal for me is that it bothers me that the person who tallies the votes is also getting awards. I don't think that the person (whether its you, Mydnyte, or someone else you give the responsibility to) should be in the running. Opening up the tallying responsibilities adds accountability too.

This has been the issue for me the entire time.

Yet some people want to have their cake and eat it too.

And it also would not be difficult. When each person goes to vote, how hard would it be to type in two names in the "To:" box? That's the joy of the internet. You are allowed to send the same message to more than one person.

So, so simple.

You said "offered" help, in your last post to me. That doesnt mean that I let them or that they did help. So yes, lots of people have offered over the last 3 or however many times the awards have been done. And yes, Mydnyte did help with the awards, and also as I said earlier in the thread Amber, Crystal and a few others helped post pics and I used them in the awards and gave credit to them at the awards and in this current thread.
