I like that you all still do this. It's a really cute idea for this subforum. I would like to say that I also really like the idea of other people having more of their own creativity and input respected and taken strongly into account as opposed to having the same people having most - if not all - of the influence. I recall other people wanting to have something to do with the actual awards, but never getting the chance to do so. It would be nice to give everyone who wants to do so a chance.

Okay, I will take you off the list. And also last time I did make it where anyone could help me with the awards and no one gave any interest in it. I did get help from Mydnyte and he did an amazing job making some of the awards. This year Ive already got volunteers for the award making and everyone is always involved in the category process so it's gotten pretty well rounded over time.

Edit: I take that back, Amber, Jess and Crystal all posted award photos and I used the ones they suggested for awards. Which they turned out great

Forgive my ignorance but how does the actual voting work and when does it take place?

I was also wondering if the images for the awards are copyrighted material just taken off the internet or original work of the ones supplying them?

Unless my brain is playing tricks on me people are sent/request a list of categories to vote for via PM to whoever is in charge of collecting the votes (so far it has been Sunryse). You look over the list and then decide which users you're happy voting for in each category - if you are not happy voting for anyone then you can leave it blank or throw in a wildcard vote just to fill it up. I personally favour the wildcards as sometimes I look at the categories and realise I have absolutely no idea about most of the active posters outside of their username, avatar and whether or not they are a prolific GIF poster.

When and where is something that will be decided once this discussion has run its course and ther has been some sort of general agreement as to how many categories we'll have, what they should be, when people want to hold the votes, and all of those fine details.

The image source varies depending on who made the graphic and their level of awareness regarding copyright laws. As the awards have not yet been made there is plenty of time to delve into image sourcing and award creation.

A lot of those people on the "active list" are not active and some are banned (so haven't been active in a long while). Also some of those people on the list have changed their usernames - it should be updated. Oh and I saw two usernames that are the same person.

Most talented, most artistic are basically the same thing.
Biggest flirt should be taken out.
Kind and Queen seem pointless. Sorry, I just don't see why that is important if we are going to have an awards ever 6 months or so.
People don't post as many videos so it isn't up to date I guess.


I also think we should take out at least ten of the categories and create ten new ones.


As for helping: I can help out with the counting of the votes.

Obzocky's post is how the voting process goes. Once we decide on the categories I will send the list via PM.

The awards are images from the internet that I have put my own spin on and made them award looking..ish.
