Everything. If one thing is tweaked, everything needs be tweaked with it. The spirit must evolve as one to ward off any imbalance.

Consistency is the goal.

True. It's a domino effect. Do you pinpoint areas of change, address them as needed or a bit of both?

Probably a bit of both. I have notebooks at home FULL of notes. I literally am my own psychologist.

I had lots of counselling in 2014 - and I can't recommend it highly enough. Even if you're fine, it's worth debriefing with decent psychologist. They give you all the tools you'll ever need IF you want them.

You can't be too private if personal awareness is your goal. You've got to open yourself up and let a professional take a look. It's similar to servicing a car.

I completely agree, I've never had professional therapy but definitely will go when I get a chance to. I use to think it would be really weird to dump all my problems on someone who isn't going to talk it through with me but I have things built up now that I don't want any like...back and fort on, I just want to say it to get it out of my system.

I love it! I'm a deep thinker and pulling back the layers is my jam. I go excavating frequently. Self-awareness is priceless. It enables me to see life from different angles and adjust my thinking and behavior as needed.

Are you drawn to a specific philosophy? Maslow, behavioral and positive psychology are big influences for me.

I had lots of counselling in 2014 - and I can't recommend it highly enough. Even if you're fine, it's worth debriefing with decent physiologist. They give you all the tools you'll ever need IF you want them.

We went through a horrible reorganization. The atmosphere was toxic with lots of firings and layoffs. My boss was pursuing me and trying to convince me to relocate and work for him through the parent company.

I developed migraines and saw someone in behavioral medicine. We met once a week. He was dumbfounded about the things I shared. I was doing two jobs due to a promotion. And my boss kept pulling me into other things outside my role. I considered a position on a different line (in the company) in Texas. But my gut (and the psychologist) were telling me to decline the offer and jump ship. I did and never looked back.

I value transparency. It strengthens your compassion and empathy. I'm comfortable admitting my feelings and mistakes openly. I use them as tools to motivate and inspire others. Or as funny tales.

That's a healthy approach and mature. You'll be lighter and free of the past. I use introspection as a form of housekeeping. I examine my thoughts and feelings from different perspectives. Sometimes I purge and expel negative experiences from my system. Get it out and gone.

Some people record those things on tape... and then burn the tape.

Hmm! That's an interesting concept. I've heard of people writing something down and then burning it - which I have done. But I feel like saying it out loud might somehow be more beneficial. You say it out loud, you're more vulnerable (IMO). I might have to give this some thought.

P.S. This thread has been amazing, it's been everything but flirting but it's been my favorite to check in on and see what's being talked about haha

Nothing specific. I think my only real axe is mind expansion through non-psychedelic means. If I have a thought, I'll spice it every which way and rebuild it in 5D. You probably hear me talking about the idea of new colours that the eye hasn't seen before - well, that's a euphemism I use when explaining my thought processes. That's why I love avant-garde so much, that's my space to demonstrate it in a visual form.

That's the point I make about not being too private. If you bottle everything up ALL of the time, then no one can help you see what you're actually doing wrong.

That's the problem more often than not - people just DON'T know what they're doing wrong.

Or, as you say. You might be begrudging a funny tale.

Yeah, I bet you never imagined all of this when you posted back in 2010.

I think it's a much more adult setting now. It's mostly 30's to 50's. Even the 20-somethings here are levels above their peers.

It's just a sign of the era we're in now.

lol I was a completely different person then.

I was way more into silly stuff than actual conversing. :sorry:

I reference mine as a flow chart but it's really akin to a mind map. I enjoy the mental zig zag and fleshing an idea out like an octopus. Each tentacle representing a train of thought I follow that inspires the next and so on.

That probably comes from early exposure to mental games. My aunt would only play Scrabble, checkers, and chess. She had a 40-year advantage and wouldn't back down at all. I did lots of puzzles and activities using strategy for good results.

When I returned to God I wanted to jump on a stage and talk about Him like Joyce Meyers but with Beth Moore's energy. He shifted the topic but the desire never left. It's the nakedness that thrills me. Baring your soul and using your experiences to shine a light which helps them see beyond their circumstances. You're an ambassador of hope.

I'd say my way is similar to a flow chart. The only difference is that I'm taking all of those tentacles and 'spurs', then redesigning them slightly, before joining all of them up into this new five dimensional, obscure shape to form ONE new, single idea. A lot of it will come without much thought at all - usually when I'm resting in meditation or listening to Raga, classical music, or even Reggae.

I don't actually know where my way of thinking comes from, I was a complete failure in school. I actually think it was bred through the boredom of living on my own with 300 cows. Some of those milkings really dragged on, my mind had to wander somewhere.

I had delusions of wanting to coach "down and out men" into a life of authentic manhood. I soon realised that it wasn't my job to do that, and backed away from the idea. I developed a bit of a messiah complex when I was 22/23. It soon mellowed out, but my jealously of Jesus still remains. I think I've always wanted to be Him if I'm honest - I think that's why Buddhism appealed to me so much. If I couldn't BE Him, then I'd become another version.

I know that's a strange thing to say, but it's true.

That's sweet! I didn't realize any of this until I started brainstorming. I worked in the mortgage industry during the boom. I devoted 15 minutes each day to brainstorming business ideas. I could flesh it out and diagram without a hitch. I think I'm meant to be a serial entrepreneur. But selling isn't the goal.

It took awhile for me to embrace my creativity or consider myself an artist. I'm more of a visionary. I can see the result and the process of bringing it to fruition and earn a profit. But underneath all that I'm happy being a 'Christian' Martha Stewart and devoting my time to the home and my family's welfare. That's the composite. They're equally fulfilling.

I don't actually know where my way of thinking comes from, I was a complete failure in school. I actually think it was bred through the boredom of living on my own with 300 cows. Some of those milkings really dragged on, my mind had to wander somewhere.

Milking cows is a lot of work! I've never done it but I've seen the process. My hands chafe just from the thought of it. Did you grow up on a farm?

You're pragmatic enough to pull it off. Because you're a straight talker and cut to the chase. They need tough love that isn't devoid of compassion.

But I can't say I ever wanted to be Jesus. You've got that one all on your own. I'll take a hit. But that's another scale. I couldn't do it. That's why He did.

Now that you've mellowed, would you reconsider your perspective on mentoring men? Maybe your message is meant for a different group. Not the one you considered long ago.

Tell me about it. I come in here to learn how to flirt and everybody's talking about 'pinpointing change' and flowcharts and non-psychedelic mind expansion (like reading?) and Maslow's hierarchy .

That's what you get when you join the craziness of CF. :satisfied: You get use to it after awhile :p I'm pretty sure that I've never had a thread that stayed completely on topic. lol

I don't think you can learn to flirt. I think you either have the gift, or you don't. But then again you could also say that flirting is different for everyone, and what works for one person doesn't another.

...I didn't help the situation did I? :sorry:

If they can put a man on the moon...

If it can't be learned I could be in trouble, so let's act as though it can and see how we go...

What's been working for you?

Haha Not a thing. I don't know how to flirt. I just try to be humorous and see where that leads me. :sorry:
