Really? I thought there was only "One Bread, One Body - Catholic" forum. Is there a separate forum for "Trads" "Liberals" or whatever?

It is important to note that the large number of denominations has much more to do with local autonomy than with differences in doctrines, though differences in doctrines do exist. However, I think some denominations can distort the Gospel message so much that it is no longer recognizable. Saying all someone needs to do is believe in Jesus is worthless if they don't understand what they need to believe about Jesus.

Good point. That is one reason I am skeptical about the United States as a "Christian" nation.

Yes, you can find the other two (The Lord's Table for Liberal Catholics and The Salt of the Earth for Traditional Catholics) under Faith Groups.

What did Jesus say?

16) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Jesus says, to have everlasting life you have to believe in Him...and be a member of the Roman Catholic Church, believe in Him...and be a member of the Baptist Church, believe in Him...and be a member of (insert name of church here). No, Jesus says if you believe in Him you will not perish and will have everlasting life...period.

Believe in Him and trust Him to do what He said He will do. (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10)

Spiritual Israel, or the true Jew, who is a Jew in his heart, is scattered into every tribe, tongue, nation, and people group...

It seems pretty clear to me that the Bible talks about judging and saving (or not) individuals. I think we are judged by our faith, what we believe, and how we live, not by the company we keep (i.e. "denominations).

We All Will Be Judged By The Word of God and What we did with our lives.
Without being born again and having the Blood of Christ covering us, nothing we did or did not do will help us.

I will answer the initial question with another question "What denomination was the dying thief?"

Don't let anyone keep you from a glorious salvation that Christ died to pay for, you can be saved right where you are at tonight.....by believing the gospel of grace given to Paul........
