Women? What about men? Do they get off the hook?
Christianity comes in many flavors. Followers of Christ's messages come in many shapes and sizes. Many related beliefs.
Nudism and Christianity need not be opposing forces.
Except all of us may be fooling ourselves - the many "flavors," because Christ said narrow is the path. There actually is a "True Scotsman" in Christianity - it is Christ.
We can't make up our own spirituality and morality to fit our contemporary interests and our faith.
What did Jesus Christ, himself, say about nudism?
I ask that question purposefully the way I ask it .Let me put it to you this way.Why should christians be nudists?
I am a christian born again and spirit filled with the evidence of speaking in tounges, yet I am a naturist/nudist.I too am a Pastor, and minister in the nude.I reason this way.Adam was intended to be naked, and he shared the presence of God in the nude.God had intended man to be naked,as He was mans covering.By God, righteousness and Glory was Adams covering in Eden, and he had no shyness nor shame.God was his covering.Adam became shy only once he lost his covering, and had to substitute it with fig leaves, and later animal skin.(provided by God Himself)This is a metaphor of the new federal head of mankind ,Satan.
Later the circumcision became mans covering,co linked with the law as his covering. The new testament declares that we died with Christ on the cross, and once again became covered by God,hanging naked on the cross. We died with him,was buried with him and resurrected with him.The body no longer becomes the instrument of shame,as the Bible declares That we have put on the new man made in the likeness of God,righteousness and glory(Ephes 4).Now the body becomes the temple of God and the dwelling place of God!The temples of Israel were never covered, but exhibited, and God dwelled in it.That was the seat of His presense. So it is with the body now.The body is Gods temple, covered by Christ, and indwelled by God....should it be hidden and covred?or should it be naked....
Modesty, honesty, patience etc should be part of ones life. In regards to peoples views on modesty concerning clothing.
Lets consider the Apostle Pauls behaviour when it comes to the eating of meat offered to other gods. His view is there is no other god than the True god, thus he will eat even if it is offered to other gods. But when he is with someone who has an objection to eating meat offered to other gods, then in their presence he will refrain from eating such meat. On face value it looks like hypocrisy or having double standards. But no, he takes other peoples feelings in to consideration because he cares.
Therefore, women (men also) should dress appropriate for the situation they find themselves in, thus not purposely offending others. To go to college in the nude and thus offending the other students is not appropriate. For a person walking fully clothed in a naturist environment is not appropriate. To attend the president banquet in lingerie is not appropriate, etc.
To dress up to belittle the poor or less fortunate is wrong. To undress to agitate other would also be wrong.
Thus dress or undress befitting the situation, that is modesty in regards to clothing.
For more on my views regarding nudity - good or bad -when to - when not to. A word study from the Bible in original languages please see my blog

To each his own. the simple answer to your question is.... anyone can be a Christian. You can be completely cracked out of your mind and be a Christian. You can be a harlot and be a Christian. You can be a homosexual and still be a Christian.
The only requirement to be a Christian is to believe. It doesn't mean you have to be a good person. It doesn't mean you have to live 100% sin free. Sin was born into all of us. I cannot tell you if being a nudist is sinful or not. I doubt simply walking around naked is sinful. But if you are screwing everything in sight because you've put yourself in a situation where temptation is greater.... then it may be sinful. However.... Christians touch and watch pornography knowing it is wrong. It is not healthy for them. But they still love god. They still want to be closer to god. They are simply human and flawed by nature. Our walk toward god is a long one. And you do not have to be perfect to love god... or to be loved in return... because Jesus was the only perfect man.
That's one of the biggest issues with homosexuality. It's off topic. But most Christians shun homosexuals when it is your responsibility as Christians to treat them with respect, to avoid judging them, and to embrace them as brothers. You do not have to support their lifestyle. But simply do gods work. Let god be the judge of them. And personally... I believe... that god will judge me the same way he judges them. He will understand that I am not perfect.... but I loved him... and I tried to live right. At the end of the day we are all failures. But we are still Christians.

Jesus did not come for the saints but the sinners. A sick man does not need a doctor lol. Once you believe... and once you have the spirit... you will try and be better. They are simply human and flawed by nature. the flesh is strong. Our walk toward god is a long one. And you do not have to be perfect to love god... or to be loved in return... because Jesus was the only perfect man. As far as being a pastor in a nudist colony... I cannot say either way. But if I were a pastor... I would go to the worst not the best. I wouldn't want to pastor in a community where everything was good. I would want to go to a prison and pastor to those who needed it most. If that means wearing prison clothes or adapting my lifestyle to fit their circumstances... then so be it. There is no place too evil to preach the word of god.

In Europe topless sunbathing is widespread. Over there it's not particularly regarded as a big deal.
Many people in this forum have a hard time getting their brain around that one though.
Hi, fellow Canuck! I think there was a court ruling in Ontario that legalized beyond doubt the possibility of going topless. (Not that it fills me with enthusiasm. I guess context has a lot to do with it.)
I really don't see the point of topless protests on Parliament Hill, etc.Yes there was, it didn't change anything though. Women still use tops and bras the same as they always have. I believe it is a cultural and and style issue which creates a preference to keep wearing their tops in appropriate topless areas. Time will tell what happens in the future although there is the odd topless protest on parliament hill which usually ends peacefully.

I don' favour topless sunbathing at a beach, either, but especially if it's a widespread practice it's probably sensible simply to ignore it rather than to kick up a fuss about something that is clearly legalized (at least, in Canada) anyway.
I don't think staring is healthy. Women have the issue of what to do with the line left on the back by the bikini strap, which I guess is legit.I am in favour of topless sunbathing. It would be a wonderful thing to be able to see a little bit more of Gods beautiful creation instead of covering it up and creating a sex object out of it.

I think on a beach etc if there is toplessness (as in Europe, Canada, etc.), the best strategy is probably to ignore it.Your right staring is not normal.
